When we've flown from Fargo, we've driven down the same day, but both times we drove to Minn. we went down early. We actually added on an extra day in Minn. just to do back to school shopping, etc. I'm off in the summer and dh takes two weeks holidays... so the extra driving time / time in Minn. takes away from his time at home, not his time there (we do 10 nights).
We actuall gain some park / resort time by going out of Minn., because I do all my outlet shopping, etc., there instead of in Fla., like I used to.
