Book now? Wait? July 13 stay? New to Disney Resorts

I really want to book a room at AoA and I have an agent that I've emailed.

We have AAA, can she quote a AAA price and is there a AAA discount for the standard Little Mermaid rooms?

Should we book now and wait for a promotion? If so should we try to get a AAA rate?

I already purchased our 5 day hopper passes from Undercover Tourist using the mousesavers discount.

We've been to Disney many, many times, but have always stayed off-site. This is all so new and confusing so any advice will really help.

I browsed through the previous threads too.

If you book now and a discount comes out later, then they will give you the discount. July is their most crowded month, I believe. So you might as well book the resort as soon as you can. Rooms do fill up,

We booked our Little Mermaid room last night for the same time period. Looks like those partcular rooms havent been part of discounts lately and we didnt want to lose the chance to book. Hopefully a discount will come out, with room reservation only you have up to 5 days before arrival to cancel so I figured we'd just book now to have it and change if needed.

We booked our Little Mermaid room months ago for our July 11-12 pre-cruise trip. But, if a code comes out I am moving to CR, I think. I say book it so you know you have it. You can always change/modify.

The have offered room only discounts the past two years in July (according to the historical disney discounts on mousesavers) so keep your fingers crossed!

You will most likely not get a discount ( even AAA- I called WDW and they said no) for LM rooms. They gave out a few when they first opened up, but after they saw that the rooms were booked solid they stopped. I would not go through a travel agency if I were you b/c you won't be in control of the reservation. Just call WDW and get a res for a room only. The deposit is the price of one night and you can cancel up to 5 days before check in with no penalty. That way if discounts come out and you want to change to another hotel it will be easy.
