Book now or wait?

We are either planning on going either late september or early December. We want to stay at BLT. Right now for our dates in Sept there are rooms available, would you book it now and then at the 7 month window for Dec see if you can switch or would you just wait till Dec and if there aren't any rooms then just stay somewhere else? I can't decide (just itching to go back)

Which ever season we don't go this year we plan on going next year....so if we end up going in Sept we plan to go in Dec next year....

At BLT - No Studio Rooms available presently for the first 2 weeks in December. We waitlisted a week and managed to book an acceptable stay minus one day. People say there will be movement at the 7 month window but I remain skeptical.

There are 1 bedrooms available for early December. Good Luck !

Book now. It's always a good idea to book your home resort or this current trip as soon as you can since you can change the resort later, it there's availability where you want to switch to.

If the dates you want in Sept. are open NOW then I would book them now. If you wait until the Dec. window opens you run the risk of getting nothing if you then opt for Sept. By securing SOMETHING now then you can decide which date you want without feeling the pressure of the availability issues. If you decide on December then you can see what's available when that window opens & just change the ressie.

Since you seem to be more interested in resort as opposed to time of year, it's probably a good thing you booked BLT now. Early December is a very popular time at DVC. I wouldn't count on being able to get BLT at 7 months. I've visited in early Dec. quite frequently and I've only been able to switch from my home resort of OKW a couple of times. But, I'm looking for either BWV std view or AKV std for value view.

lol - we honestly can't really decide when to go - we want to go to Halloween and to Christmas - one this year, one the next year...we really want to go during Christmas and stay at BLT....but if we have to go in Sept this year and Dec next year we are flexible that way too (next years trip isn't on points, so we can book more than 7 months out)

Oddly enough, the 3rd week of December is open for Studio Theme Park views so we had a discussion. According to some, that week should not be too crowded so we decided to book it. We still have the 2nd week wait listed which might come through. I wanted a Theme Park View for Christmas Time.

On a side note, we were able to see the fireworks from our balcony in rooms on the North Side, even numbered. Some were a stretch but we were way close to the opposite end.
