Book for 2016 or wait for 2017?

I second this! I'm 100% sure that we'll definitely be having so much fun elsewhere that we won't even notice that certain rides will be closed.

A little off topic but does anyone know if the car stunt show is still going on? I think the Lion King and Tarzan shows have ended now, haven't they? I'm also keeping my fingers crossed that Disney Dreams will still be on in feb 2016.

Yes the Stunt show in WDW is still running, and yes the Lion King and Tarzan shows have ended. The theater where the Lion King show used to be will re-open seen with a Star Wars Jedi Training show and a Frozen Sing-Along will start on 1 June in the theater where the Tarzan show was held.

There will be 6 attractions closed when we go in June this year, but we won't let it spoil our fun. It's Disney after all.

Going for the first time in October 2016. Was originally planning for 2017 to go with the big anniversary, but I got a great deal on a transatlantic cruise to pair it with so I had to move it up. Disappointed that BTM will be closed, sounds like it may be the best of all the parks, and it's my favorite ride. Maybe I'll get lucky and it'll be ahead of schedule, but it is Disney. Star Tours isn't a big deal to me (been on the old and new in WDW already) so it doesn't seem like too much is really down compared to any other trip to a Disney park. As long as they show Disney Dreams I'm not sure I really care what's running or closed. Was blown away by that the first time I saw it online and can't wait to see it in person. The night shows have always been my favorite part of any Disney trip.

I'm so hoping for Disney Dreams to be on when we go in February 2016... I haven't watched it online yet, I want to surprise myself with the real thing... If it's not on when we go I'll watch it online, but until then I'm keeping what it's like a secret from myself, haha!

That's how I felt before returning to Disney World in 2013 after 12 years of not visiting. Sadly not much changed, but I was so young the previous visit I couldn't remember beyond the basic premises of the shows. I watched all the shows in the other parks and that made me want to visit them. This year I'll be going to Disneyland for the first time and I don't plan to watch any of the videos for the new 60th shows and parades.

DLRP is very different from American resorts. There are lees rides. If they close 3 it's a big deal and less enjoyable is certain. They are going in the riht direction the last years but can't stand in the shadow of WDW and DLR.

Apart of that The rumour is now they close BTM, Mark Twain and Phantom Manor at the same time. That means an entire land is on refurb.... My advice don't expect to much when going in 2016

I have heard Mark Twain and Big Thunder Mountain will be closed Feb 2016... Will Phantom Manor also be closed then? I've lost the website with the info of what rides will be closed in February :|

Not official but I did read that its anticipated PM will also close for return at the same time.

BTM and PM are "big" rides it's true but there is more than enough to keep you busy besides these 2 especially now in the Studios. Mark Twain or Molly Brown is nice to do in Summer but it's not a biggie if you miss it especially when it's cooler weather - tbh I'm trying to remember if it was always open in the winter ...

Ooh err... that's a little concerning. Phantom Manor was somewhat of a first & last ride tradition when I used to go with family.

Oh well, like I said before, I'm sure we will have an amazing time regardless! :)
