A while back someone posted the title of a funny book that they had read about flying/airline stories. I can't find that post. Does anyone remember the name of that book by chance?
I didn't read the original thread - but I have three suggestions for you:
1. "Why I Hate Flying - Tales for the Tormented Traveler" by Henry Mintzberg. Very funny book about the workings of the airline industry and flying. So funny I read it twice - and you should see the looks you get when reading on a flight! (Hold it up so the Flight Attendants can see the title!
2. "Plane Insanity - A Flight Attendant's Tales of S*x, Rage and Queasines at 30,000 feet" by Elliott Hester
3. "Around the World in a Bad Mood - Confessions of a Flight Attendant" by Rene Foss
All very funny and enjoyable reads.......
I was probably the original poster, but I see that Yzma and Kronk shares my sense of humor...the book was "Plane Insanity." It's written by a male flight attendant with a David Barry-like style, and it had both hubby and I busting a gut with laughter. I bought it on the spur of the moment at Midway Airport, and I'm so glad I did. That flight was turbulent, and I'm a white knuckle flier, but that book totally kept my mind off anything but the crazy stories.
