Book a room and apply code later???

Is it possible to book a package and if a code comes out have it applied to your booking? Does this work with all codes or just some or (I hope not) none at all. We are staying on DVC points in December but I booked a package for friends for the AKL and I'm hoping that a code will come out later so that I can save them some money. Is this possible?? (She is OK with the price now - no pressure just want to do the best that I can for her).

You can't apply a discount to a 'package' only a room-only reservation.

If you booked them the Magic Your Way package with the dining option, sometimes the package STILL works out cheaper then a room-only discount option, as you can't get the dining option unless you book a package.

I've never booked a package, but you can do it with a room only reservation (done this many times, mostly with an AP discount).

Most time's I've seen a code come out for the general public there is also a deal on packages offered also, so I would assume you could call and get the reduced price package.
