I was booked 2 rooms at Pop for 1 adult and 3 kids (all 17 and under) so that we could each have our own sleeping surface (I find that the trip goes much smoother if everyone gets a good sleep). Now 17year old wants her boyfriend to join, he is 18 so if I add him to the reservation (boys in 1 room and girls in the other with air mattress) would that make it no longer a chance of getting connecting rooms?

Your other post says your GD is 18 and the BF is 19. So I don't know if you fudged GD's age when you initially booked, or if the reason you could book 2 rooms was because she is listed as the adult on the 2nd room already.

Connecting is not guaranteed, regardless of the make-up of the party (#s and ages). WDW will try to honor the request, but it isn't always possible. If you need to be in a contiguous space you'll want to book a family suite or cabin. If you are comfortable with the rooms not necessarily being together, keep it as-is with 2 rooms, though depending on how you initially booked you may need to shuffle around who is in each room.

I haven't booked yet. when I originally wrote the post - I was thinking of her age currently (17) she will turn 18 (4 days prior to trip) so I will list her as an 18+ adult. So I guess that I will go with 2 rooms, her as lead on one and me on the other. If boyfriend decides to come - will change the room names at check in and have a girl room and a boy room.
