Do the extra day!! DO IT!!

And you are right, chances are great there will be an AP discount! DO IT! It's a no brainer!

OOOOOO!!!!! Disney Math...the only kind I like!:lmao: Have you looked into AoA? It would be pretty cool to see that! Hope the plans work out for the extra day...especially if you get some EMH!!:thumbsup2

I hadn't looked into AoA at first, but when I just priced it we could stay in a standard Little Mermaid room for $135. Not much more than Pop! So it's going on the list. Thanks for the suggestion! :thumbsup2

I agree...NO BRAINER!! Who doesn't love an extra day in Disney World?! :dance3:

You mentioned no morning EMH on Sunday, but you would also be eligible for evening EMH as well. Usually on Sunday it's at MK, unless it's a party night, then it's usually DHS. I know with Paxton that might not work real well, but just thought I would throw it out there with your AP / Hoppers. DHS has the Disney Junior dance party that only occurs durign EMH. (I think they still do that.)

Yay for an extra Disney day!!!

:woohoo: My thoughts exactly!

Yeah, I didn't forget about the evening EMH on Sunday. It is at DHS until 11 pm, but I don't know that we would choose to stay very late. Although, maybe in a few months time he will be able to handle staying out a little later than normal without it totally throwing him off, so maybe that's a possibility? I didn't remember about the Disney Jr. dance party...I bet he would love that! My little stinker LOVES to dance!

woohoo to another disney day!! We stayed at all star music on our first trip and we liked it alot. cant wait to see what you decide!!!:yay::yay:

woohoo! Day 1 plans sound great - i hope you get better sleep at your parents house w/o them there (will they have left if you leave Saturday instead?).

And that's awesome for the extra day, saving money! Gotta love Disney math. :goodvibes

How are you guys? Any life updates? I'm going to head over to your DL TR now...

So exciting! I love that you can get there the day before and truly have "Day 1" be a full day and not travel day/day 1. Yay!

Well, looks like we are definitely switching our arrival day to Saturday the 20th, but still not sure of all the specifics!

If we end up flying in Saturday afternoon instead, we should be able to leave our house in the morning and make it to the airport in plenty of time. So no sleeping over! If we do decide to sleep at their house for some reason, we will still have it to ourselves. They are driving halfway Friday night and the rest of the way Saturday morning. :thumbsup2

Not much exciting going on here, but I should hopefully have a post tomorrow from our fun today celebrating Father's Day & my 27th birthday!

I am SO excited about an extra day!! I am always begging DH for more Disney days. :rotfl:

Hooray for an extra day! I love the idea of checking out the new AofA resort, but you can't go wrong with any of your 3 choices! We loved POP and I think it would be fun for Paxton. I understand about being bummed when you have fewer Disney days - we did 9 nights on our last "big" trip and this time it will "only" be 7, and that feels like not enough! But then again, some of my friends think I'm crazy for staying 7 nights... they say, "there are only 4 parks, right? Why do you need to be there for an entire week?" I could stay an entire month and still be sad to leave! They just don't get it. ;)

I definitely spoiled myself by taking that 10 day trip in December a couple of years ago. Last year, our trip was "only" 8 days, and this time was supposed to be "only" 7. Not nearly enough time!! So if we can at least stretch this trip to 8 days again, I'll be such a happy camper. :goodvibes I definitely agree with you, I'd still be sad to leave after a month, and still feel like there was stuff I wanted to do but didn't get to!

I don't know about everyone else, but the three of us had a GREAT weekend! Since we had a lot going on for Sunday, we decided to have a special early Father's Day/Birthday breakfast at IHOP Saturday morning (my 27th birthday fell on Father's Day this year). We left the house at about 8 am, and lucky we did because it was already kind of busy when we got there. We had no wait for a table, but it did take a long time before anyone came to take our order! DH and I both ended up getting the exact same thing (if I would have known he was getting the same pancakes, I'd have ordered something different but I went first and then felt bad changing my order). We both got 2 blueberry pancakes with scrambled eggs, hash browns and sausage. TONS of food. We were both sick to our stomachs after we left. Paxton enjoyed taking a few bites of pancake but didn't really like the sausage or hashbrowns. He really wanted some eggs but he's allergic so we couldn't give him any.

Sunday, we got up pretty early thanks to Paxton and immediately loaded up the car and made our way to my parents' house in the New Orleans area for a day with family. We got there pretty early so we could drop Paxton off with them and go to church nearby.

After church, my parents gave Paxton the presents they had picked up for him on their cruise last month.

A sombrero

And a maraca from Mexico

My dad was all excited about finding the sombrero because apparently his grandfather had gotten him one from Mexico back when he was about Paxton's age. Paxton was not a fan of the sombrero being on, but he did like the noise that maraca made!

Around lunchtime people started arriving. DH's dad ended up coming, as always bringing tons of stuff for Paxton, including one of those big balloons with a rubber band attached so you can hit it and have it keep coming back against your hand. Hopefully that description made sense! :rotfl:

I tried getting a picture of Paxton and DH since it was Father's Day after all, but only got this. Check out my FIL photobombing in the background!

The weather was not looking promising, so we decided if we were going to swim, we better do it now. The three of us were the only ones going so we quickly changed into our suits and slapped on some sunscreen.

Ready to swim!

We tried putting him in his pool floatie for awhile but he wasn't crazy about it because it was putting him a little too much into the water, which felt a little cold. It had rained that morning and the sun wasn't out so it was definitely a chilly day for a swim!

Eventually we took him out, and had a hard time keeping his face out of the water, but only because he kept wanting to stick it in!

It was lucky we swam when we did. After about half an hour, Paxton was getting crabby so we took him out of the pool and gave him a quick bath. By the time we came out, it was storming! It was a lot of fun though, and I'm glad we did it despite the cold water. We thought about putting him down for a nap after that but some of the family wasn't there yet and he was doing okay so we let him keep playing. DH got a call that they needed him at the office, so we had to leave pretty early to get back home. Paxton of course crashed in the car before we even hit the interstate and slept pretty much the whole way home. It was a great Father's Day/Birthday!

I don't know if I had ever mentioned on here, but DH had gotten me a Cricut Expressions machine for Mother's Day, so for my birthday, I got 2 cartridges!

IMG_1579.jpg

It was a really fun weekend despite the rain. It was kind of funny, as we were leaving it was absolutely pouring and the three of us got soaked running out to the truck. Get Paxton buckled in his car seat, run around to the front of the truck, get in and shut the door...and the rain goes down to a trickle! Of course!! :lmao: It wasn't that funny at the time, but now I can laugh at the irony.

Anyone else do anything fun or interesting for Father's Day?

Looks like you had a great weekend!
Happy Birthday!!:cheer2:

Great pics with Paxton in the pool, he looked like he was really having fun!

Thank you :goodvibes

He was having SO much fun, especially when my dad turned on the fountain and DH was letting the water hit him in the head. He was cracking up! And he kept wanting to drink the pool water. :rotfl:

Aw great fathers day post! Happy birthday!! So nice you had such a great weekend. Pool pics are great and love the one with the maracas. I also love those balls with the rubber band! Fun! Our fathers day was ok - we "tried" to go boating...twice. Lol

What a fun day! It's a bit late, but :bday: !! And thanks for making me crave pancakes. :lmao: I love that Paxton and your hubby are wearing Disney shirts. :) The Cricut Expression is so awesome! I don't use mine nearly enough, though. I must look into getting Disney cartridges to make some goodies for our trip!

Sry so late! Happy Birthday!
OMG I love IHOP
Like seriously if you ask me what my favorite place to eat! is its IHOP!!
Are you signed up for there revolution email club. You get a free meal when you sign up and on your bday!

Happy belated birthday!

It looks like you had a nice weekend there. I'm glad you got the opportunity to get in the pool for a bit. I don't know what it is about sticking their faces in the water, but DS does that all the time. I keep trying to tell him to close his mouth before he tries to go under water, but he just won't do it. One of these days, he'll learn, I guess. :rotfl2:

Not really, but DD smiled at me for the first time... and I don't mean the little "I have gas" smile. A real big, full face, eyes sparkling smile. That was a pretty awesome fathers day gift.:thumbsup2
