Hi! I'm Cristabel and this my pre-trip report ! I've been a Disney fanatic growing up and not until this past April was I finally able to get an AP. I have never been during Halloweentime and I'm SO excited to see all the decorations, special characters, and Mickey's Trick or Treat Party in DCA! The following posts most likely contain my many ramblings as I was trying to put this trip together. I'll be starting a new thread for my mini trip report because there is so much OT rambling and even trip rambling that it makes ME confused :lmao: Thanks for checking it out!

Thanks for joining me!

Hi, I will be first to join...and Ive never been first so this is a first of first of sorts.....lol Thanks for reffering me to the MToT Party Thread again...its going to be such a blast...Ive never been to DL ..Im so pumped.

No problem! I'm glad to have helped. Yeah, I've never been to Disneyland during the fall season so I'm really excited, too. I've seen pictures of the Mickey pumpkin and that made me want to go right then and there!

We were at WDW last Sept the first day they put up the Halloween Decor at the MK...it looked awesome. We have a very long arrival day Oct the 24th so we are just going to the beach and the October Fest resturant celbration an maybe DtD Disney that night...Ive been really wanting to go to House of Blues. on Friday Concert night if posible.

Hi Cristabel!! I see you are as anxious for October to get here as I am. I keep toying with the idea of starting my Pre-TR now too, but then I think what will I talk about for almost 3 months! :lmao:

I feel your pain though. I am so ready for this summer to be over!! Well, October will be here soon enough. I love the Gus Gus costume idea btw. Very original. :thumbsup2

You have a longer visit planned, you will definitely have more to talk abut then me! I'm waiting for you to start yours because I need something good to read:rotfl:Will you and your family be dressing up or just the twins?

I guess it's time to introduce the cast of this spooky trip.
Cast
Cristabel:earboy2: ~ I'm a 19 year-old college student who is absolutely, permanently, ridiculously, in love with Disney. Definitely a Disney nerd
22.gif
I was born at St. Joseph's hospital in Burbank, CA which is located smack dab next to the Disney Studios. I've been all about Disney since Day 1! This will be my 20th (at least) visit to Disneyland because I believe I have gone at least once every year of my life (birthday 11/02! but that's a future visit for another pre-TR) thus far or several times in one year to make up for the years I didn't go. Still with me?

?Possible Extras?:confused3
Diana
belle.gif
~ 21yo, DSis. She's definitely a Belle. But if someone could make an icon of Belle wearing a Starbuck's hat & apron it would be her to a T. She just  whenever I mention Disney. She doesn't get it and teases me about wanting to marry Walt Disney or Mickey Mouse. I just :snooty: and walk away. Has never gone during Halloween time and has heard good things about MTOTP that has her interested.

Tyrae
theBeast.gif
~ 24yo, DSis' DBF. He's a perfect beast because he's exactly one foot taller than Diana:rotfl:He thinks he's too
cool2.gif
for Disney. Even though I have Diana and him scheduled for a WDW trip with me in 2010
09.gif
I don't know much of his Disney history other than that he'll be going in September (for free!) with the BGC (Boys & Girls Club), oh the perks of that job! He's going to accompany Diana and add a whole bunch more fun to the trip because no matter what I always get a lot of laughs with him around.\

So that wraps up the cast as well as the possible extras for this halloweeny trip. Now as for why you are reading my pre-TR, well I don't have a clue but I'm sure glad you're here:3dglasses

Eh, maybe if I get bored enough I'll start one. ;)

I'm not sure about the dressing up. I keep going back and forth on that one. I know the kids are going to, and I had originally said DH and I would too. But now I'm thinking the money spent on costumes for us could be put to better use. Especially when I have other things I can wear like Halloween tees and sweaters from years past.

So I guess my answer is, I'm not sure. :confused3

Hi, I asked rumbly tumbly to make this DISign Iron-On tranfer for you....I think she did an awesome job....you can print it on trasnfer paper and put it on various items if yoou want to make something for you sis?

Save the picture to your computer....sometimes things get deleted off photobucket

Bloodhound - Thanks for finding this! My sister loved it and I saved it to my computer already. I'm planning on making us some shirts and that will definitely be one for her!

I can't wait to hear more, we're going for the Halloween party for the first time this year too! We've done MNSSHP in WDW, so I'm interested in seeing the differences at DLR

Hello! I'm sorry I've been MIA but school, work, and this exercise/diet thing has got me plum tuckered out!

So here's my game plan (it's tentative though!)

But before I can start

First I have to say, I'm supremely bummed that the Jungle Cruise and POTC will both be down for refurbishment this trip!:sad1: Those are my MUST-dos every time I come (which is quite often) because without them it's just not the full Disney experience, KWIM? Ok...

October 22nd, 2008

* Arrive at the Mickey and Friends Parking Garage at 9:30am (I'm so happy I don't have to get up at 6am for this trip!:cloud9:)
* My first ride: the DL tram!:cool1:
* Be on Main St. by 10am
* Maybe make it for the rope drop, maybe grab a cup of coffee
I'm hoping since it will be midweek in October that I won't have to wait in line for Peter Pan for 168765132 hours! KWIM?

* I plan to enjoy the park rather leisurely (must try to restrain the inner Commando), riding anything that's not in refurb, maybe even Splash :scared:Browse shops; Even though I'm not buying anything... I will NOT buy anything...must NOT buy anything....*will power saved*

*Lunch time! I don't know where I'll be eating but it will definitely be cheap (as cheap as DL gets:laughing:)

* Pretty much explore like we're new.

Change into my costume (if it all works out) around 5:30 and head out to Disney's California Adventure for Mickey's Trick or Treat Party & meet up with my DSis.

Eat a corn dog or a chimi!! Those are cheap and delicious!! :thumbsup2

Sounds like a good plan so far. Don't you hate it when your favorite must do rides are closed??
I'm so bummed about POTC. I love that ride. Oh well, at least we'll be there right?!?!

Very true! I'm blessed just to be able to go as often as I do!:cloud9:

sad-011.gif

Originally my sister and I were going to have an OST (original sisters Trip) for my birthday in November. Diana was going to get a 2-day parkhopper and we were going to go November 2nd & 3rd. Well, I have to work...ON MY BIRTHDAY!:headache: It's our city's marathon. I could ask for it off but I REALLY need this money to continue paying of my debts. So instead of getting more into debt, we decided to make this trip in October our sisters trip. I'm really bummed because we would have been going on my REAL birthdate!:sad1:

So this means we might be kicking Tyrae out of our trip unless we can find a fourth person to join us (we're all about even numbers for rides!) I really like hanging out with Tyrae so I think I'm going to see if our cousin will come too, they get along great.

But if it all works out and we all go, we will ALL be celebrating our birthdays at Disneyland even thought we wouldn't be in our respective months.
Me- November 2nd.
Diana - October 27th
Tyrae - September 9th(?)
Sergio - November 14th

Here are some pictures of me and my Disney experiences throughout my childhood.
