Thanks! Ferb is doing better and is back to work today. So far so good...no sign of further illness. But if it happens it will hopefully be soon. Just want to get it all over with!
How is your son? That's what Ferb felt like all day at work before he finally let it out. I totally agree with the petri dish comparison. It's all germy, but so is our work...I work with money and Ferb has people in his face all day as well!

Now, I have to tell you that if we could drive it in 12 hours, I don't think we would ever fly again. The money we would save would totally be worth it! So, I don't blame you for driving. That is a long time to be stuck in the car, but with all the techno gadgets these days it's not too bad, is it?

Good news on Ferb! My DS is better. Just felt icky and like he was going to throw up for the day...but never did THANKFULLY Not sure what that was about, but hoping to avoid any sickness before or during our trip He also works with money (at a grocery) and Im telling him that he needs to be washing his hands at every break! Im sure there are tons of sick people coming through his checkout line everytime he works
The drive isnt too bad...but the flight out of our area is only 1 1/2 hours...and I would rather do that BUT the prices are too steep! Thank goodness for the dvd players, ipod touches, and cell phones!

We are in the teens!! 18 sleeps til Disney!!​

So, I have been posting here and on FB so much that I have forgotten what I posted and where...

I just checked and I realized that I left out a huge update!!

I have a cousin in the States, his wife's Uncle works at MK. He has graciously allowed us to use one of his discounts to book a room onsite for the last two nights of our vacation. I have been hoping for something like this for a while, but I figured it would be a room only discount and for a room at Pop or something like that. But instead, even though we have never met, he has booked us at AoA in a Cars suite!

Not only that, but he offered to get us in the parks for free, get us tickets to MNSSHP with his discount...he even wanted to know if we drink beer or wine?! I guess I am sometimes blown away by the generosity of people...jaded much?

We of course have all of our tickets and our party tickets as well. And I was adamant that he not bring us anything either. But he insisted on a bottle of wine that he made himself. Can't say no to that, now can I?

So, that made us change up thing just a titch. We have decided to go to Epcot on the 25th instead of the 28th. While this front loads our week with park days, it gives us a chance to enjoy the resort after we check in on the 28th. We can't wait to see the girls' faces when they realize where we are staying. They have no idea!

So, our week flows like this now...
We will arrive at MCO and rent a car to drive while we are at WBC. We will stay there for 6 nights. On the 28th we will drive back to MCO to return the car and get on ME to take us to AoA. We will be here for 2 nights and then take ME back to MCO on the 30th to fly home. It just make more sense to have the 28th to relax after all that transfer of luggage and transportation.

So, now I think we are caught up!

Rapunzel's costume fits her very well. We may tuck it in at the bust, since she doesn't have one! So that just leaves us with mine to fix. We haven't started...too much else to worry about right now.

We made a decision about our credit with JB and how to use it.
We thought about Ferb and I getting away just us and then realized that the credit would end up costing us a fortune to use that way. So, we have decided to move up our 2013 vacation to be able to use the credit then. It expires after Oct 2 2013 so we will fly on the 1st or 2nd and stay at WDW for a week, then our cruise we had booked for the last week of Oct we moved up to the 10th departure. It was the same price still and we even got the same cabin number!

This got me thinking... (dangerous, I know). I have friends who work at WDW still. (I grew up in Central FL many moons ago). It had never even crossed my mind that they could det discounted MNSSHP tickets. DH and I had considered going, but just couldn't justify spending the extra $$$. But with a discount, that decision could change...

Day 4
Thursday Oct 25​

This was originally going to be an AK day, then a rest day...but now it's our Epcot day!
I'm kind of relieved actually because we were going to be going to Epcot on a Sun and dealing with weekend crowds at F&W. Now we should be better off with lower crowds. Also, this will be our 15th Wedding Anniversary...we will have those pins on for sure! We even have shirts we made last year for our cruise that we just might have to resurrect.

Our plan is like most people's...be there for park opening and head straight for Soarin'. Ride, get a FP then I think we will head to Sum of All thrills, we have never done this one before and I hear it gets backed up pretty quickly. After this we will head over to Character Spot to get those over with as early as possible. We'll continue around FW and ride Mission Space (GREEN!!!), then we'll have to see what time it is. Depending on that we may try to hit the Seas. But if it's time we will get over to the WS for opening.

Of course this all depends on what time our return for Soarin' is. I want to get on this ride 3 times today if at all possible. Today is our only Epcot day and I LOVE this ride. Maybe a little too much?

The real bummer about this day is of course Test Track being down. But, we will deal and I guess it will give us time to roam around the WS, try something new like Sum of All Thrills and Captain EO. I know, I know...it's supposed to be lame, but Stitch really likes Michael Jackson right now....

We don't have any dinner plans...depending on how much we eat at F&W we will probably just grab something at Sunshine Seasons. There is so much to choose from there it's a no brainer. We haven't eaten here since 2008 because we usually do lunch in the WS and then have a dinner ADR. So this will be a change up for us.

I think we can accomplish all of this because Test Track is down and we don't have an ADR to take up an hour of time. Eating on the fly and having counter service for dinner will be much quicker.

We don't have a break planned for today either, so it will be all day in the park and breaking for food only. COMMANDO!!!

I think we will be skipping Illuminations too...it's okay, but we aren't huge fans. We would rather try to beat the crowds out of there, get back to WBC at a reasonable time to get some much need rest. After three full day of park touring we are gonna need it. Tomorrow we can sleep in, but then it's gonna be a LATE night!

Really, I was surprised and very grateful just for the room discount. I would say, hey, all they can say is no, and no harm done right? Day 5
Friday Oct 26th​

It's our MNSSHP day!!!

We are sooooo excited for this night! We are all going in costume and getting Pirate's League makeovers for this....it really is the first time we have all dressed up for Halloween together...only for Disney right?

The plan for the day is to sleep in, well, you know as much as you can sleep in at Disney!
We'll have breakfast in the room and then maybe go down to the pool for a while. Not long, because we need to get lunch in our guts and get over to MK for our Pirate's League appt at 2:40 and 2:50. They scheduled two of us at a time, but with only 10 minutes apart that will work out great. We had to use a park ticket for this day, we had originally planned to use this ticket for AK for a whole day, but we realized that we needed it to get in for PL, and really AK is only a half day for us and we have the YES class on our last day and with a late flight home it works out better that way. Holy run on sentence, Bat Man!!

Okay, so after a lazy morning we will head to MK and get our makeovers. Then we have no plans until dinner at The Plaza at 5:15. Not sure if we will be there for the Pirate parade they do? That sounds like fun! But of course there is always time to ride POC in full garb!!

After dinner is when the plans get tricky. I've been reading all about the parties so far and the line ups for characters sounds CRAZY!! And the crowds have been higher than most expected. Now, Ferb and I attended the Oct 30th party last year and it wasn't that bad, and it was a sell out. But, we weren't interested in characters...just rides and some candy. This year we have some character must do's.

First on the list is Captain Jack Sparrow. We are going as the last POC movie characters...Ferb is CJS, Stitch is Angelica, Rapunzel and I are mermaids. So that is definitely top priority. And I have heard that his line gets crazy. But so does the Princess line and we want to meet all the boy that we can. We have spots for them all in our book.

So, I think we will head over to CJS's line first after dinner and just park it there to wait. Then we will head over to the Princesses line and deal with the crowds there.

Next will depend on what time it is and if the parade is going...I wanted to meet the WtP characters in costume so that might be our next stop. That's it for must meet characters. I would like to try for Alice, MH and White Rabbit...just not sure if these are all possible when we still want to see Hallowishes and the second parade.

I guess once we have the first two on our list it will be a game day decision. And I find that very frustrating!

But, the good news is, we don't care about the dance parties because our DD's won't dance anyways, and trick or treating isn't a high priority either. We will stop if we see a short line, but we are going to be home for Halloween so we can trick or treat then.

We plan to stay for the duration as we have a rest day planned for the next day and we hopefully will have slept in this morning.

Day 6
Saturday October 27th​

It's our rest day! We get to sleep in and swim and relax!! We might play mini putt that they have at WBC. Hopefully the weather will cooperate!

I will be doing lots of laundry this day too, because tomorrow we leave! Nope, not WDW, just WBC. And with laundry in the room it's so convenient here. I will have to pack us up for the move the next day as well. That's the only down side I can see to this split stay. All the work for Mommy! But it will be worth it!

Now this day is not without any plans. We have a reservation for Spirit of Aloha this night! We are so excited for this...and again the girls have no idea we have this booked! We will be attending the 5:15 show so we won't be out too late. Wishes is listed at 9 pm for this night, we may hang out on the beach to catch this...Ferb and I did this last year and it was really nice! Might be a great way to see the fireworks and we can skip it on our MK day on Mon to avoid the crowds. We'll see, since we have such an early morning the next day.

Back to WBC to sleep and prepare for resort switching tomorrow!

Well, I can't believe it, but we are only 12 days away from our WDW vacation!! As long as we have been counting down, I can't believe it's here! I have been following along with fellow disers' vacations via facebook and it's been great! But really, can't wait until it's our turn!

I've been MIA since I got back. Dealing with post-Disney, back to work, need to find a car blues! I'm ready to start my TR now though. So excited your trip is so close!

Well, between dealing with the inlaw visit and trying to pack..things have been a little crazy here!
We are almost completely packed, just need to go over the list to make sure nothing is missing, as I type this, I realize I need to pack shoes and socks.
It's always something last minute isn't it?

So, Ferb has been battling a bad cold for almost a week, and now I think I am getting it. I am heading to walmart to grab some Cold F/X. I also need to get some of those earplanes ear plugs. If anyone has issues with in flight pressure, get these! They are a godsend! I still haven't worked on my costume either. I am the worst procrastinator! So I am going to get some fabric for that today as well.

Good news is...

We are almost completely packed, just need to go over the list to make sure nothing is missing, as I type this, I realize I need to pack shoes and socks.

Aww...thanks. Got the cold f/x and will be taking them non-stop for the duration...making Ferb take them too!
I tried on my costume with spanx this morning and it works without any alterations...it doesn't look great, but hey, it's really all about the kids and the fact that we are a group theme. So, I'm leaving it alone. I am not crafty at all so that works for me!

Seriously, I hope you get more sleep! You're gonna need it! But, good luck with that!

Things have certainly gotten away from me in these last few days! I can't believe it, but we are leaving in

TWO DAYS!!​

I work tonight, Ferb is at work now for his last shift, then tomorrow we are volunteering for the Niagara Falls International Marathon at a water station that my dept sponsors. All four of us will be there and it should be fun, but also it's a great way for me to stay up instead of crashing and going to bed after work. There is a party later in the day for the volunteers, dinner included, so I won't have to worry about how to feed the family with literally no food in the house! I refuse to go to the grocery store one day before vacation!

Then we will do last minute checks on our packing situation, and take some drugs and be Off to Neverland!! Our flight it as 10:10 on Monday so we will have plenty of time to get a good night's sleep! And normally I would say there is no way that would happen being as excited as we are....but between being up all night and working outside at the marathon, not to mention the drugs, I think we will be all good!

I was really starting to worry about my back on this trip...it's been giving me LOTS of grief this past two weeks. I have been to the chiropractor at least 4 times in the last couple weeks. I would feel better for like a day, but then it would start to spasm again! I decided to try one more time yesterday morning just for good measure, and I think it finally is on the mend. I always seem to do really well while at WDW, mostly I think because of all the walking (note to self, start walking every day). So if I can just keep this going until Monday, I should be good!

I mentioned that I had planned to start packing while the inlaws were here and I did. Mostly just randomly throwing things in the bags. But then this week I went through everything and packed for good.
Not even sure if this will work...but here is the pic of our luggage...
