Well, it's not good that you had to come back, but since you did, as we all do, it's good that you made it safely. Sounds like you had a great time, and I am looking forward to seeing all the good pictures.

Now you get to play 'This time last week...' for seven days, and when that game is over, it is really real - it is over.

Thanks MeMom! I took 800 pictures! Plus the photopass pics!! I've been going through them to weed out anything that didn't come out well and such!

I promised myself I wasn't going to do the "this time last week..." But I will admit that when I got this morning at 6:15 I thought "This time last week we were leaving for the airport..." Then I reminded myself not to do it!! The next trip is only 65 days away!!

Welcome back! My goodness your trip flew by! I hope you were able to savor it. Can't wait to hear more!

It really was quick!! But it seemed like a good amount of time. Not to short hat we couldn't do what we wanted and not to long that we felt like it was time to come home!

There was just soooo much crap and laundry I couldn't leave it! I HATE when stuff starts to take over the house!! A little OCD, I know!

I actually did 2 load of laundry on the trip too!!

WE'RE BACK!!!!

Goodness! I really have no clue where to start! The whole trip is kinda a blur right now I'm hoping going through my pics will clear it up a bit

We had a fabulous time!!

It definitely was a little warmer then I expected! But we made it!!

We loved our first DVC stay!

We, of course, loved MNSSHP!!

We had a few firsts and a lot of old favorites

I can't wait to tell you all about it when it gets a less blurry in my mind!! I have my photopass and camera waiting for me to get all the pictures together!!

Thanks to everyone who followed along on FB! It was a lot of fun to share our trip while we were there! I'll definitely do it again in Jan!

The TR has started!!

Boo to YOU!! A Halloween adventure full of fun, frights and firsts!

Hi all!! I've made some changes to our plan today! I know your shocked!! Me, make changes?! Never!!

But I did it for a very good reason!!

The airfare prices for a later flight down went down significantly!! I'm talking from $119 one way to $84 one way!

I've already purchased the airfare for DH, the kiddos and I but not for my sis and her family. So, I'll cancel ours and rebook it under the lower fare.

I'll get a credit for the difference and will apply it to the purchase of the other tickets.

the airfare home went down from $119 to $109. Not as big of a difference but still a difference.

We'll end up saving a pretty hefty chunk of change!

The only issue is that the flight leaves Long Island at 11:50 am and lands at 2:45. We probably won't end up at AKV until after 4 at best.

That kinda kills the 5:25 ADR at Chef Mickeys for that night

I was able to do a little shuffling though!!!

Sat 1/9 wil now be travel day, checking into AKV and evening at MK (Chef Mickey cancelled)

Sun 1/10 I'm leaving the morning open for the kids to decide where they want to go, newly reserved ADR at 1900 Park Fare for an early dinner at 4:35 and evening at MK (lunch adr at 50's PTC cancelled)

Mon 1/11 Stays the same with breakfast at Tusker House, day at AK and dinner at Boma

Tues 1/12 stays the same with the day at Epcot and dinner at Le Cellier (I'm not giving up that ADR for anything!)

Wed 1/13 stays the same with break day, spa for sis and I, dinner at T Rex for DH and I and all 6 kids , dinner at Cali Grill for sis and her DH

Thursday 1/14 changed from a second Epcot day to DHS day with early dinner at 4:35 at 50 prime time (Rose and Crown cancelled)

Friday 1/15 stays MK day but we now have a 5 pm ADR for dinner at Chef Mickey's! (1900 Park Fare for this night cancelled)

Saturday 1/16 stay the same with no adrs and our departure!


In other news, the cat is out of the bag!! the kiddos know about the January trip now!! UGH!

It started the night before we left last week with me talking to DD about being honest with us about not feeling well. DH said "and we're going again in January so it's not like your never going again."

Really?! Are you kidding?!

DD's head popped up of the pillow so fast I'm suprised it didn't spin!! "We're going in January?!" she said. "Ummmmmmmm" said DH. I can't write the things that went through my head because this is a family friendly site

Actually, like I told him, I wasn't all that mad at him because I knew it was goin to happen and I was just glad it wasn't me that spilled the beans

We weren't going to tell them about their cousins joining us. We were actually going to wait until they got here the day before the trip and suprise them then.

But this morning when I was changing the ADR's my little nosy princess noticed the amount of people and figured it out!

She was soooo excited she cryed!

DS6 was also very excited and greeted the news with lots of Woo Hoo-ing and jumping around!

Hooo humm!!

We told them that going to WDW in January is the vast majority of their christmas present because santa is chipping in for it!!

At least with the cat out of the bag I can plan and get excited out in the open and not have to bottle it up!!

With the new TR in progress I'm going to go back to doing the pics and fun facts!! Keep an eye out for that coming soon!!

I absolutely understand that you were dissappointed that the surprise is ruined, but I think for your kids it might even be a better surprise because it came so absolutely unexpected, kind of a bonus surprise! And as you said they were so happy to hear the news!! Now you can get them involved in the planning and have fun looking forward to the trip together, which is great, too!
