Now I do love Dinosaur but that is the science geek in me and I still get freaked out at the end and I know what's coming so I could see where it could be quite the experience the first time...first time through I closed my eyes the entire time LOL!!!

We did Tusker House this summer. The ham is what sticks out in my mind. It was so good!

We didn't see to many animals unfortunately! Our trip to AK was so short!!Next month we'll have a whole day! My niece loves all sorts of animals and, I think, will really enjoy AK!

I didn't eat ham at Tusker House but I'll have to remember to try it!!!

It sounds like quite the morning...you must have been freaking out inside when they told you DH didn't have the right ticket... I'm glad that all resolved itself...as for that crazy lady......how sad for her husband and daughter...Can you imagine living with that 24/7?

I wasn't terrible concerned about the tickets because knew we had 2 adult AP's and 2 child AP's. It was just confusing! Luckily we got everything straighted out!

That lady was off her rocker! I hope she's not like that all the time! Hopefully she just got stressed out and let it get to her!


I'm glad you liked Tusker...(except for the spilled juice...)...I agree the beginning with Donald is a bit impersonal but the rest of the meal is one of my favorite character meals...


I felt kinda rushed and like we didn't get the individual attention you kind of expect! Especially because it is Donald Breakfast!!

The kids looked like they loved the characters...(me too)...

I love Kali but it can be a drencher...

OMG! She was soooo wet!!!!

Dino...DS won't ride it... (he also had a negative experience on the Indy ride at DL when he was 5-it's the same technology...it is very, very loud...DD just loved it this year for the first time-(she was 14...)

UGH! Your poor DS!!! Dinosaur just wasn't for us! If any of the big kids want to ride it next month I can assure you my kiddos will be in the Boneyard playing!

Poor Johnny and the OJ....kids are so funny, sometimes they roll with it and just don't care, other times its the worst thing in the world and you simply cannot reason with them. I'm glad he rebounded!

I felt so bad for him because I just feel his pain! I know he had a flood of thoughts about being wet and sticky, having to leave and whatever else running through his head!

GREAT TOL picture! Absolutely fabulous and I love the detail shots, I hope to really work on that on our next trip.

Eric feels the same way you guys did about Dinosaur, the big boys thought it was "dumb" but for whatever reason it just cracks K and I up so we went on it twice.

Go figure.

The whole premise of the ride is a little kitchy and the pre-show was a little cheesy. Especially because I couldn't get past the fact that Phylicia Rashad was in it!! I just kept thinking about The Cosby Show!!!

Your breakfast looks fantastic and OMG your Dinosaur photo I still haven't been on that as my kids refuse to go on!

We had a wonderful breakfast, aside from the spill!!! I'm sure my kids will refuse Dinosaur from now on!

For those of you who have been following my PTR it has been closed! YIKES!Actually, it's my on fault for neglecting it since we've been home from our trip!

So, from now on I'll be posting about PTR info here. TR things will be orange, PTR will be purple!

I found out my PTR was closed when I went over there to update!

So, here it is!!

I called the other day to and made Spa reservations for my sister and I!!! On Wednesday the 13th we will both be having a massage and then a spa pedicure!!! Again, My niece says my sister has never had a massage! I hope she enjoys it!!!

Also, I got Mickey Mail on Friday!!! Our ME documents!! I was going through everything and noticed my sisters name was listed twice! I thought that was odd until I looked again and discovered that one of my nieces wasn't listed at all So I called DVC member services and they fixed it. Apparently I now need all new tags and new booklet! Seems kinda wasteful to me, but what do I know!!

34 days to go and I have soooo much between now and then!! I'm not even sure I'll have time to get it all done!! With Christmas in the mix I'm starting to freak just a tad!

I really need to make myself a list and figure out what I need to do when but even the thought of that stresses me!

I am almost done with the pages for my book our trip with all the info for our trip! When I'm done I'll share of few

I'm really looking forward to our mini spa day!! I was thinking of getting the Aurum Manus massage! It's like a a hot stone massage, but better!! It's what I got in March!! They us round stones with hot oil!!! AHHHHHH!!!! Heaven!! I highly reccomend it if you ever go to the GF spa!! In March they told me it;'s one of only a hand full of places in the country that do it!

Ya know the thing about the PTR being closed it hasn't been that long!! I think the title may have been a bit misleading and the mods thought it was only for a Halloween trip! Oh well!! The color coding will work out well, if I remember to do it

As promised, an update!!

We headed back to SSR and decided to grab lunch at Artist Palette when we got back!

There were a lot of people in Artist Palette! A LOT!

We decided what we wanted and DH took the kids to sit while I waited on line, a very long line!

I must have waited on line for a good 15 minutes before it was even my turn to order. By then the line past me extended well into the gift shop portion of Artist Palette!

The wait wasn’t unbearable because I chatted with a lovely gentleman who was on line behind me. Him and his wife own 500 DVC points!!! I asked him to talk to my DH LOL!! He was a retired prison warden and is thoroughly enjoying is retirement and many trips to WDW! Him and I also chatted with a family that was behind him who were about to end their first trip to WDW! They had used points a friend couldn’t use this year for their trip and had a FABULOUS time! They were seriously thinking about a DVC purchase!!!

Then it was my turn to order! I can’t remember what DH got but I ordered 3 chicken nuggets and fries for the kiddos and a Smith Stack sandwich for me!

I got my beeper thingy, collected drinks and snacks and headed to pay. No sooner had I put the drinks and stuff down then the beeper went off! Off I went for the food!

The kiddos and DH enjoyed their lunches. Me, not so much! The Smith Stack is a combo of different meats, like ham and things of that sort, on a focaccia type bread. The ham was over poweringly (yes, I just made up a new word ) salty! I tried taking some off but even that didn’t work! Yuck! I ate maybe a ¼ of it and then ate a little of the bread with no meat! It definitely wasn’t the best lunch ever and it definitely wasn’t something I’d order again!

After lunch we head back to our room to rest for a bit!

We watched a little TV, put some laundry in and just relaxed while our lunch digested. But the kiddos really want to head to the pool!

So we were soon headed to the pool!!

We had a blast!! We were there for a good 2 ½ hours! Just enjoying playing and hanging out!! It had occurred to me before the trip that in all of our trips to WDW I had never actually gone swimming! On our Oct 06 trip I had briefly stepped foot in the pool but abandon the idea to get my pregnant self a nap while DH, MIL and FIL swam with and watched DD and DS. In March of 08 I sat at the quiet pool at GF while DD swam but didn’t go in. In January DH took the big kiddos swimming but Ryan wanted nothing to do with it so we took a walk!

One of my must do’s for this trip was to actually go swimming! It was so much fun and so relaxing!

Ryan had a blast as well!! Up until the end of August he HATED the water!! He HATED the beach and sand even more! We live at the beach!! It’s kinda hard to avoid the beach and sand here!!! Something happened to him the end of August that changed that and in the last week of the summer it was hard to get him off the beach after spending much of the summer fighting him onto it!

He was so happy to splash around the pool and get wet!! We all had a great afternoon at the pool!

Soon it was time to leave the pool and head back to our room to get ready for MNSSHP!!

We got all cleaned and got our costumes on and headed out toward MK and an evening of Halloween fun! ​

12/8 edit update!!! I just discovered that something got jumbled when I posted! I copied and pasted from a word document and one of paragraphs has the same sentence 2 1/2 times!! Sorry!!!

Pool time is a mixed bag for me. I love unwinding and spending time in the pools but a part of me is always anxious to get back to the parks for more. I'd love 500 points and I can total see needing and using them! They had just come off a disney cruise and were staying 9 days! He mentioned saving his points next year to go on the disney cruise to alaska!! Now that is something I'd LOVE to do!!!

I love that picture!! That one is definitely going in the next WDW collage frame! We had a great afternoon at the pool! I really hope that we get the opportunity to take advangtage of pool at Kidani next month!! I have break day in the mix of our our schedule, hopefully it's warm enough!

I really wanted that man to talk to DH!! Like I said in my previous response, I can totally see needing and using them!! I'd settle for 300, but I'd love 400!! With 400 we can take 1 week long trip in a 2 bedroom and a shorter trip in a 2 bedroom or bank and borrow a few to use a grand villa every other year!!!! Right now, with 200 points, we're completelt point broke for 2009 and 2010, booo!!!! at this point to go Dec of 2010 we'll have to borrow all 200 from 2011 and stay a few days in another resort!! But, I now an add on is coming soon

I'm sooooo excited for next month!! I know the next month is going to fly by with christmas just 2 weeks away! I just hope I can get everything I need to get done done before then!

I know the point broke feeling! I am forever borrowing and think I only banked points one time!
When I was at SSR and frequented Artist Point I became a big fan of the flatbreads there. Especially the cheeseburger, strange thing is I really don't even eat cheeseburgers!
The picture of your son and husband in the pool is so adorable!
I hope you do get a chance to use the pool area at Kidani...your kids will love the water play area.

It's freezing in NY too! It was 29 when I was out earlier and it's really windy!!! I'm hoping for warmth next month!

Ahhh, are we staying with AKV? Not sure. We did the webcast last night and the incentive is pretty good. $95 per piont for the 100 point range and you get 09 point no matter what your use year. We're thinking of buying through that. I'm torn though! I had planned on staying with AKV but this little voice keeps creeping into my head to saying buy BLT. Of course, that will be more $$$

I think they have it again tomorrow at noon! It was ok, not great. We went to a Doorway to Dreams event in August that we really enjoyed. I think that's part of the reason I say ok, not great! They basically go over all the wintery things you can do with your points and suggest spending the holidays at at WDW or Disneyland. Then they go into adding on and the incentives. They had some nice pictures and it was an nice little disney fix.

I think it was a little over 30 minutes so it wasn't terribly long and not something that cut into any plans or things that needed to be done.

486 points will you adopt me LOL!!!

I've been trying to figure out at what point my DVC needs will be satisfied and I haven't really come up with an answer yet Really though I think a good week long trip and 1 short trip a year would work great for us. My main thing now is that I feel like we're going to have to start planning our trips more around school breaks and, of course the points will be a lot higher then a January trip.

I'm still torn which resort! Like I said, I was going to go with AKV but BLT keeps creeping in!!! I really want to stay in an MK view villa at some point and I don't know if it's at all possible without home resort priority!

I assume you own more then 1 resort, how does it work when you want to book a stay and use your points for different home resorts? Not sure that makes any sense, really what I mean is if we owned 100 points at BLT on top of our 200 AKV points how do book 11 months out for BLT?

I left a message for out guide earlier to get our questions answered!! Hopefully we'll own more point before our trip in a few weeks!
