I hadn't seen those spider web window decorations before. Cool!
YAY I am loving these cruise photos!!
Great pictures of all around the ship. It is a really beautiful ship.
That's good you could get out to take them in the early morning without the crowds.
Enjoying your report so much!!! You're pics are beautiful! You mentioned most of your night pics were from your point and shoot camera and phone? What point and shoot do you use? Love them and I find it hard to get good quality pictures with the smaller cameras..
Thank you!
wow I really miss seeing this ship!!!! Your pics are wonderful!
I hadn't seen those spider web window decorations before. Cool!
Beautiful pictures of the Fantasy! Glad you went down to find the sea sick meds. That's good to know that you can just go down there and select from a variety of pills any time you need.
The family was all trickling in and getting food as well. We had a couple of tables near each other, kind of by accident and as some of us finished others would take our places.
It was a little chaotic, mainly because people were trying to cut and putting their bags to be loaded before they were confirmed on a bus.
The ONLY bad thing was that we got to the port a little later than I like.
I liked to get on the ship as early as possible and using the buses from the resorts just won’t get you there early.
We stopped off to get a boarding photo as a group and the photographer said she could not take a picture with that many people. I think she said her max was 12. I told her we had no problem squishing together and we have done it before and she relented.
Next stop would be our rooms. We had boarded after 1:30 so our rooms were open now. After we dropped off our carryon’s we would get some lunch in Cabana’s.
As we were entering the theatre we noticed a popcorn bucket. I want to say it was around $8-10, but again I could be way off. We decided to get it. It could be refilled for 1.50 and I knew we would take advantage of it each night.
We settled into our seats with Mom and Amanda and started munching on the popcorn when we saw a Vampire Mickey go by. Wait! That’s the same one they had at the parks! We waved the waiter down and I ordered one of them and mom ordered one for Abby. Again these could be refilled for $1.50. I am glad I got it on the ship! We would put this guy to good use.
They changed the chocolates! They are now Ghirardelli.
They offer a couple of Disney Junior character breakfasts. You do need reservations for them and they can be booked at the same time you make your shore excursions.
This sounds like it really worked out.
Sometimes I really do not understand people.
I hated this the one and only time we took the bus from one of the resorts.
The last time we stayed at a Disney resort, we booked Magical Express for a random flight and then took the DCL bus from the airport.
I don't think I have ever seen it so empty.
I am glad that you managed to do this.
That is at least one advantage of getting there late.
That sounds like a really good deal.
That was lucky.
This pool is the reason why we never considered the Dream or Fantasy.
I had not realised that they now offer a character breakfast. I like the idea that you have to sign up for it.
I love all the photos from around the ship.
I think I still prefer the Dream in looks, but this one is pretty similar.
I never understand why this is "fancy".
I am pretty sure you are sailing on the June 28th sailing...am I right? If not, someone in that group has a very similar name.
My friend Cass is from Canada too. She isn't a fan of the exchange rate either right now. LOL.
No - I am not! I wish I was....no cruises booked for me for a while...until that dollar goes up!
It's a lot of work, but I enjoy it.
I am not sure what TICO is. My guess is it is something for you locally?
It's an Ontario thing...you have to be a TICO grad in order to sell travel in Ontario.
Have fun!!! We will be here to enjoy whenever you get back.I am flying out to Florida tomorrow and finishing up packing and all those last minute things today. I will try to get back on before I leave and finish this day out before I leave. I have it written up, but I need to proof read it and correct any errors.
If I don't get back before I leave....I'll be gone a week and will work on finishing up once I get back. I have almost all the pictures edited so I just need to finish up the writing!
I looked at Gail and she looked at me and at the same time we said…we have an extra ticket! Gail fished out Rob’s ticket and handed it to her and the lady was so happy and so was the little girl. We were happy to spread a little magic!
There was a hypnotist onboard and his show was at 2 this afternoon.
Have fun!!! We will be here to enjoy whenever you get back.
Have a great trip to Florida. Are you headed back to Disney?
Wow! So many pictures. You did an awesome job with that. I've been on a cruise and didn't see some of the things you posted.
I know it's kind of sad that Claire isn't wanting to get the autographs any longer. Why do they have to grow up on us?It really is nice and freeing not having to stand in those long lines. Now when we head to Disney we no longer have to stand in those long lines for the character meet n greets. It's just nice if we see a short wait time to jump in line. No pressure to get a certain princess or character.
Animator's Palate seems to be such a strange venue for a meet and greet, but I love the photos.
What a nice thing to do.
I don't think I have ever seen a show like this so early in the day. I am glad you enjoyed it.
Tonight’s show was Aladdin! I was excited to see this one. I knew it was pretty similar to the one at Disneyland, which I loved, only tamed down a bit for a moving cruise ship.
I would tell Amanda…oh this is one of my favorite songs. ….all through the cruise I would do that during the shows…and Amanda started teasing me that I had a lot of favorite songs.
It was fantastic. We really enjoyed it.
Dessert time! I love the soufflé here!
It was a great day and we really packed a lot in. I had scheduled our breakfast and meet and greets the first day so that we would have the rest of the cruise to do what we wanted when we wanted. I think it was a good decision.
