A shortage of park rangers means one of Central Florida's favorite getaways is closing two days a week, and reducing its hours.
Playalinda Beach in Brevard County is part of the Canaveral National Seashore, WESH NewsChannel 2 reported.
Nudists have used the beach area located north of Parking Lot No. 5 for decades despite opposition from the Brevard County Sheriff's Office.
But the current problem has nothing to do with sunbathing.
The beach is within view of the space shuttle launch pads. Because extra rangers are needed for extra security, the beach will close on Mondays and Tuesdays.
The beach will also reduce operating hours by not opening until 8 a.m. on the other five days of the week.
The beach will go back to normal hours as soon as additional certified rangers are found, but that could take awhile, a beach manager said.
ARE YOU UP FOR IT BONZO.......LOL...
PS-----DO THE RANGERS HAVE TO GET THEIR KIT OF TOO?????
