Bonnet Creek?

I thoroughly read all about it before we went the first time here on DIS. Loved it, loved it, loved it! Went back again last year :)

We loved it too-close to WDW, great pools, the rooms were gorgeous plus we had a view of the Epcot fireworks from our balcony!

AMAZING! I was a onsite snob. Stayed at Bonnet Creek in May 2013 best vacation ever! I have no idea why it took me so long to try offsite. I'm a believer! WBC ROCKS!!! But be warned - once you try it, you will fall in love with it!

We're DVC owners and I can honestly say that Bonnet Creek rooms seem more than a few steps above DVC rooms in quality.

I am so tempted to try this place. What areas/rooms/location do you suggest for adults only trip? Any other suggestions as far as booking ? Tia

We love it! My husband doesn't want me to even bother checking prices of other places.

The view from our room 556, Tower 3 was the Swan/Dolphin, Epcot and Illuminations.

Loved it. Much nicer than on-site and cheaper too. They have a shuttle as well. Definitely worth trying out.

Wow sounds wonderful. I think what holds me back is that I'm such a dork. I mean I even love the ME ride lol. Do you get that Disney vibe at bonnet?
Maybe for a quick trip would be better for me as it does sound so nice. Thanks for the room info too. Do you book direct with them?

We didn't really get the Disney vibe there. First time stay at BC was this month. I might stay on disney property or even VR vs. this. (imo was better).

That's my worry ... I really like the "total immersion" it's my escape. I've been on property more than 25 times. I should have been a dvc owner long ago lol. I'm always looking forward to the next visit. Thanks for ur input.

We stayed there this past October for the first time and loved it. We were diehard on siters, but the space that BC offers for the price cant be beat! It also sits next to the Caribbean Beach resort! So close to everything:goodvibes

We always tried to stay on site, then a friend of ours told us to try WBC. We LOVED it! We did a split stay (5 days at POR and 6 days at WBC). All of us liked WBC better. We loved the lazy rivers and pirate pools. Loved having a full kitchen even though we really only had breakfast in our room. We rented a 2BR. We had enough room for 8 people and 2 bathrooms!!!! We rented 2 rooms at POR to get the same amount of room and it still was smaller. And we paid ALOT more. It was 85 a night at WBC. We did drive our own car to Disney instead of using their transportation. But we figured the 15 that we spend on parking was worth it. Ask for a fireworks view. It was wonderful! ;)

We stayed there this year in early summer....first time staying off site. Rooms were large, clean, grounds beautiful and it was definitely cheaper but we missed the Disney feel at the resort. I found myself driving over to a Disney resort for breakfast and a couple of dinners.

I guess you have to decide which is more important...

Staying offsite and saving a good chunk of money or being totally immersed. For me if I had the money I would always stay onsite.

For us, Disney rooms are just not big enough. Before we became DVC members, we would always get 2 connecting rooms even if it was just DH, DD, and me. If I'm low on points, unless I book a suite, I won't stay onsite for that reason.
The money savings is nice too. On our April trip, I figured the amount we saved booking BC over a Disney mod paid for our meals. The price with a deluxe would have paid for another trip.
I do love DVC accommodations for convenience and 9 out of 10 times we'll stay onsite but BC is excellent. Right now I'm banking points for my grand-baby's first trip in a little under 2 years. Can't wait!!!

See I totally think you get that "total immersion".

Now when I stay on site I tend to stay at resort that are "disney light". for example my first couple of trips we stayed at Ft wilderness.

I am a dvc owner, my home resort is Beach club villas and I've only stayed at Bonnet Creek once but I have to say, it totally took me away.

I also did the Waldorf Astoria, needless to say that now when I think of the description of heaven, the action takes place in the Waldorf. OMG!!

Like Robbi above we decided to try BC because our sons and my dh are big guys and we wanted to sneak down for a quick cheapy trip.

let me say this, if I did not own a dvc, I would never ever stay onsite. I love disney but values are too small and no way in heckdome would I ever pay what they want for a deluxe. The time we stayed at the Waldorf, our room was almost 200 ubcks a night cheaper than disney and a gazillon times better quality. Yes, I love total immersion but when total immersion starts to run me thousands of dollars more? it's not all that good looking.

Honestly having stayed at BC now, i'll take the smallest room on site if price is close. Just did not feel wdw at all. Not even close (IMHO)

I think the issue is, the prices aren't close. A 2 bedroom villa insite is 3X the amount. my sons are all over 6 ft tall. My dh was tall and big, in order for us to do a value we would need at least 2 rooms. that was the main reason we went dvc.
