I just found out that a guy I work with rents out his timeshares. He owns in the company where he can trade into Bonnet Creek. He said he charges $120/night for a two bedroom.

Has anybody stayed there? What is your opinion of the resort? Is there any transportation to the parks or do you just drive? I am sure they aren't part of extra magic hours. Am I correct?

Is that a good price per night (seems like it to me)?

I haven't stayed there. I just drive by a lot. It appears to be a beautiful resort.

You will find lots of info on the Resort & Attraction boards on BC. We love it there, going back in Sept:thumbsup2

that price seems high to me.

this is not a Disney resort. so no disney stuff - no DME, EMH, wdw transportation, charging on your id, pack deliver - none of it.

that say it is a nice resort. they claim to be on Disney property - they are not. It is over next to CBR and Pop on one side, the other side has 535 and osceola parkway.

they are building in the area.

go to

look under both Fairfield and Wynham bonnett creek for it. Fairfield has better prices.

come visit us on the Orlando hotels/attraction board for my information.

While $120 a night may be high in general for offsite resorts, it's a great price for a 2BR at Bonnet Creek if it is in high season. In low-season times (September, late April/early May, November, etc.) $100/night might be more competitive. The location cannot be beat, and the resort is very well appointed.

You can get a sense for the rental market at redweek:

(registration will be required to see the prices, and a modest membership fee required to respond to ads.)

Thank you for all of the replys. DH seems less than thrilled with it not being a Disney resort. I will have to do more research and see what he wants to do.

Sorry I posted it in the wrong forum.

Bonnet Creek may not be a Disney resort. Actually it's much nicer in many ways than even the Disney deluxes. And it is in the middle of Disney property, though not Disney owned. It's right next to Carribean Beach resort, and is closer to MK and Epcot than some of the Disney resorts. It's a Wyndham property, fairly new, and very nicely decorated with a fun pool area, miniature golf and grills next to the pools where you can grill out. Having a fridge and kitchen saves a lot on money.

They do offer a free shuttle, but when we stayed you had to sign up for it in advance. Though it seemed there were some people who just showed up at the stop. We found it necessary to have a car. Sometimes we drove to the park, and sometimes we took the shuttle and then cabbed it back to the resort. Plus the last time we stayed on site, the bus service seemed much slower.

Even factoring in the car rental, car service from the airport, and cab fare, we came out way ahead on our bill over staying at even a Disney moderate and buying all our meals. It was also more relaxing to have a two bedroom with two tvs and a washing machine.

DH nixed the BC idea last night. He wants the EMHs and Disney bus service, just to name a few. Thanks for the help everybody.
