We drive by this resort everytime we are in WDW. I looked it up and foudn that it is a timeshare/hotel owned by Fairfield. I also read a quick "Blurb" about WDW having to see them the land for an access road? It didnt make any sense to me? DH is very curious. Does anyone have any info to share about this resort? Thanks.

It looks nice.. I did a search and it does not give lots of info. I would love to know how they got Disney to let them use property????? I know Swan Dolphin do but I thought that was it.

It's not now nor was it ever Disney property. Apparently, the owner of the property would not sell to Disney and sold to other developers. Since the property is surrounded by Disney property, Disney had to grant access for the resort.

If you search for bonnet creek on this form you will find about 5-10 threads about the resort. I personally can't wait to stay there! :)

Here are a few webpages that may interest you:

This is an aerial view development plan map of the Bonnet Creek development. It shows the FF timeshare resort location. With Epcot so close, you can see why upper floor condos facing the right way have a treetops fireworks view. The timeshare resort is the only portion of BC which has been built so far. You'll note that Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort and Pop Century are on one side and Typhoon Lagoon is on another, with I-4 on another. Once on the resort site, you cannot see nor hear I-4 or other highway traffic. Between the timeshare and Epcot Drive/I-4, there is a long stretch of (east-west) road with heavily wooded preservation wetlands on both sides. At the far end of the cul-de-sac (nearest I-4), it's partially cleared for the hotel at the far right in the picture.

Fairfield's webpage of their resorts has a link to its FL resorts, where you may select Orlando/Bonnet Creek. Unfortunately, most detail links are only available to owners to view, but the description info is there.

This rental source for vacation reservations offers a nice photo gallery of pictures of the FFBC resort. Enjoy!!! :sunny: :flower: :sunny:

Now DH will have all his questions answered! It looks really nice. Are there any GREAT deals there?

to get into Bonnet Creek, you would either have to have access to it via RCI Exchange ( we did it that way in May ) however, I have not seen any weeks posted for exchange in quite a while ( the sales person was surprised that we got in on an exchange )

or

you might find a Fairfield owner who has points he wants to rent and has access to the Bonnet Creek resort

you are not likely to find deals on skyauction since this is suppost to be one of their "flagship" resorts....methinks we were lucky to get in on an exchange

you could do a search on google for "renting Fairfield Bonnet Creek"

here are are a couple

they have a couple of buidlings complete and are working on others....it is a nice quiet location with easy access to all parts of disney

and you can see the fireworks from you balcony if you happen to be on the parking LOT side of the complex ( we actually saw quite an extensive PRESS day fireworks display from MGM when we were there )
