We have stayed at Bonnet Creek several times and each time we have always got the parking pass. I have since read that you do not need it. You can avoid the sales pitch and constant phone calls to your room by not getting the pass. Just want to make sure this is correct. Thanks :)

Correct! We just arrived a few hours ago, skipped the parking pass trap and unplugged the phones as recommended on the DIS. We went to Walmart and re-entered without a pass with no trouble.

It is raining here, and supposed to keep raining all week. We are hoping for showers and not a deluge!

Thanks so much! Glad to hear that. We will skip the pass.

Hopefully the rain will go away. Enjoy your trip!

We did the same thing last week and never had a problem plugged the phone back in on our check-out day and they invited us to the breakfast and sales pitch I said no thank you and they were fine with that. Linda :)

Well...technically you avoid the phone calls by unplugging your phone. Anyone you want to talk to already has your cell, so why bother with the house phone. Skipping the "parking pass" desk doesn't keep them from calling you.

The sales weasels at Bonnet Creek have also been known to knock on your door unannounced to "bring you your 'welcome gifts.'" If you let them in, they will NOT leave.

Wyndham is a fine timeshare system, but their sales force is super-sleazy. Avoid them at all costs. If you want to purchase a Wyndham timeshare contract, you can do so on eBay for virtually nothing. I did.

I've found fears of the parking pass drill to be completely overblown. I've found the people there quite friendly and they always give my kids free balloons and answer questions about the resort.

I just tell them I've come to the resort several times and I'm not interested in ownership. They usually tell me what the offer is, I say no thank you, and that's it.

They haven't even been calling or visiting our room, either.
