Which breakfast would you recommend for first timers? We are doing a character meal on our Epcot day. Considering these because my friend won't do buffets.

I woudl book Garden Grill unless there is an overwhelming desire to meet Rapunzel. There is a lot to be said for being in the park for breakfast.

I also think you could consider Akershus if you want Princesses. Breakfast does include a sideboard, but most of the meal is served on platters on the table. If your friend is persnickety about having food from the sideboard, I bet the server would bring a bowl of whatever she wanted from the kitchen.

I cancelled my GG ADR in favor of BV. I am mostly excited about meeting the princes. Do you care more about the menu or the characters...?

Bon Voyage is very new and is at the BW. Depending on where you are staying may make a big difference because if you're not staying in the BW area it is not that easy to access unless you take an Uber. Parking can be challenging and Dis Transportation will require 2 modes of travel (whether it's a bus to HS & then boat from there to BW or a bus to MK and then transfer to a BW bus and so on). We have not done the BV breakfast yet and have heard mixed reviews (it is on our schedule to try next week, we tried to do it last month but didn't work out in our schedule)...

GG is in Epcot as you know and since you're already planning on an Epcot day that can work to your advantage because once you're done breakfast you walk out of the Land bldg and you're in Epcot! :goodvibes We have done lunch & dinner which foodwise is ok but the character interaction is a lot of fun there. They are classic characters that include Chip n Dale which we love and Mickey & Pluto so even if you're a grown-up it is still fun. I always recommend GG at least once for a meal.

If it's convenience then I'd do GG unless you're staying in the BW/YC/BC/Swan/Dolphin area then BV/Trattoria Al Forno might work better.

My vote is for Garden Grill. Amazing character interaction too. We ate at both BV and GG this past August, Trattoria al Fiorno was our least favorite breakfast of our trip, the food was just meh.
