Is there a special bon voyage drink and if so, does it come in a special cup and how much does it cost? Is there is kid bon voyage drink also?

The Bon Voyage drink is a mix of strawberry daquiri and pina colada. The afternoon of sail away it is served in a DCL plastic hurricane glass which you can keep and if I remember, I believe it's like $7.95 or $8.95 plus 15%. It is also available in a virgin mix.

THe last 3 cruises I was on, the bon voyage drink was any number of things. Walking past servers in the elvator lobby at the buffet on the wonder, they had them premade and if you wanted booze, they added it right then. I do not remember seeing the 1/2 and 1/2 in forever.

Strange cause I had it last August on the wonder and just last October on the Dream. The 1/2 and 1/2 is actually called Bon Voyage and can also be purchased at the pool bar all cruise long.

Yes 1/2 and 1/2 and it was so good. Also in non-alcoholic.:goodvibes

They also served it in a pirate cup on pirate night that has an on/off blinking light. My husband was addicted to this drink and he is not a drinker.

Yes, there is both an alcoholic version and non-alcoholic version... both served by waiters on the pool deck.

I've only had the alcoholic version - as I remember, it was 1/2 Pina Colada, and 1/2 Strawberry Daquiri. Approximately $10, including tip... and includes a souvenir plastic cup (as pictured above). By far, the best drink you'll have on the cruise! ;)

Love the Bon Voyage drink - always a must as soon as I get on the ship - you don't have to have the souvenir glass either - just go to the bar and ask for one without.

If you keep the glass, you get a discount on drinks if you bring your cup to the bar with you. Same goes for the Beer in the beer souvie mug.

Ok...I did not know this. So if you buy the glass once you can have it filled with whatever for a discount during the cruise? I like this. Thanks.:goodvibes

How much of a discount? Do you get another souvenir glass? In other words, would I have one to bring home?

Last cruise we brought home 9 glasses. Took up alot of room in our luggage. I would imagine if your paying for it, it is yours to keep and bring home when your done. Three glasses coming home is better than 9 any day. Unless you're a collector of course. I'd like to know how much you save also. DD is legal drinking age now.:goodvibes

Actually, there are so many of them left on tables after sailaway that you could take one back, wash it out and take it home. Wouldn't even have to pay for it (someone did in order to drink it but many people have so many of them that they don't bother taking them).

Technically, you can buy the drink in a regular glass and it's about $2 or so cheaper. I often went to Currents (just above the adult pool) and purchased the Bon Voyage drink several times during the cruise.
