My DD is a really picky eater. The rest of the family (especially me), on the other hand, would like to enjoy different types of food while we are there. Are there less adventurous options for her to eat?

There is standard chicken nuggets, Mac and cheese, corn dogs, pasta along with the more flavorful/adventurous stuff. My kids found plenty to eat on the buffet with the meats, veggies, kids offerings, and fruit

Thanks! Sounds like she should be able to find something other than dessert to eat!...:-)

Even the "exotic" dishes at Boma aren't super crazy, I have a family of non-adventurous eaters who all love Boma. Be sure to try to sample each of the soups. I know soup doesn't sound too exciting, but the soups are usually among the best items on the buffet. :earsboy:

I have a 10YO picky eater and he enjoyed Boma. There were some basic kids meal items, but there was also some kind of baked chicken he at a lot of.

There's a section of the buffet with things like chicken tenders, macaroni and cheese, and spaghetti.

I agree with this. My husband and I were looking to trying some new exotic foods and were actually pretty disappointed. As others have posted, there are also plenty of kid foods for children who know what they like and like what they know.:)

Best description for a picky eater I have heard!

You'll find fruit and vegetables that are good. Plus soups. Nothing too spicy, just enough to give it a nice flavor. Have your daughter try a few bites of some of the items and she might enjoy them. It's a perfect time to get her to try little bites, too.

I wouldn't choose vacation as the time I wanted to get into a food battle. Just my opinion.

When I was a tyke, my mother would put a small spoonful of something new on my plate along with the stuff I'd eat. Either I'd try it or I wouldn't. Never a battle, never a fuss, and while I'd often leave it over, in the long run the strategy worked, relatively painlessly.

Ymmv. Some kids object to strange stuff anywhere on their plate, but since I knew there were no consequences for leaving over (at that age, when I was too young to help myself to portions), it never bothered me.

There's never a bad time to introduce new foods to a child. If you keep playing it safe, you risk ending up with a 10yo, then a 20yo, then a 30yo that "can't" (and I don't mean because of special needs) eat anything except chicken nuggets & cheese pizza.

As mentioned above, there is a whole pod section with stuff like mac and cheese, corn dogs, etc.

We took our two-year-old son, and he had a plate full of stuff like rice, mac and cheese, green beans, corn, etc.

Asked him afterwards what is favorite food was - "Couscous!"

So we are going back to Boma next trip so he can eat some couscous... (and yes, we've had it at home, but Boma's is more exciting).

I am a grown woman who orders chicken wings naked so no sauce, we have mild taco sauce in the fridge for me and spicy hot for husband, we have to compromise on BBQ sauce and he adds extra hot sauce to his portion, I like mild, more mild, and even milder stuff.

I have never walked out of Boma not being stuffed to the gills. Word of advice - if your daughter can read, tell her to ignore what the food item is called, just look at the food and decide for herself. It's a buffet so if something looks a bit "not to her liking", she can try a little of it and if she doesn't like it, she doesn't have to eat it. Or, you can have her sample from your plate on a few things and if she likes it, she can get up and get her own helping (NOT saying she should only eat off your plate, just have her try something you have but she has her own plate). If she doesn't like chicken and mac and cheese, then she's pretty much not going to eat a lot in the world.
