I'm trying to put together a trip for later this year. I'm planning out all of the food for the trip cuz I'm the giant foodie of the group. When I went in January, I absolutely LOVED Boma, so here's my question: How similar are Boma and Tusker House?

I always like to try new things, and I want my group to experience new things, but if it isn't as good...or is too similar...I'd go with Boma.

So thoughts?

Boma is my favorite WDW restaurant followed closely by Tusker House. While similar I think they are different enough to give each a try. This past marathon weekend I had lunch at Tusker House on Friday and dinner at Boma on Sunday.

Because Tusker House offers a lunch you can get in for less than Boma. The sides are different as are the desserts. If you liked Boma I would recommend Tusker House without reservation.

I've eaten breakfast at both several times each. I think the food is very similar. The main difference to me is the noise level. Because Tusker House breakfast has characters, understandably it's much louder. However, Boma has the scrambled eggs with goat cheese, and I don't remember seeing it at Tusker House. That's why I prefer Boma.

I seem to be the minority I think when I say I prefer Tusker House over Boma.... We've never done breakfast at either, but we did do lunch @ Tusker on 2 different trips and absolutely loved it. Even my picky-eater girls found plenty to eat! We tried Boma for dinner last July after all the hype it gets here and I honestly have to say I don't think I'll do it again :confused3 though Tusker is a must-do now for each trip for us!

but I have to say it is much easier to get to the food at Tusker house. There seems to be more room between the "pods" and there are never crazy lines like at Boma. We have eaten at both places many times over the last couple years, but this April we will be doing Tusker house 2x and skipping Boma. Going at a busy time and just prefer to stay in the park and not deal with traveling. The samosas, curry chicken, basmati rice and pita bread are soooo good. Try it out:thumbsup2

We love Boma but we have not been to tusker house since they changed it. Based on others ratings and reviews, Tusker House seems to be good for breakfast. However, I would definately go to Boma for dinner.

I was talking about Tusker House lunch and Boma dinner in my post. I don't eat a big breakfast so I haven't done either of their breakfast buffets.
