Great reviews! Of course I was supposed to go for my walk but once I started reading your reviews, I had to read it all!

We are trying Boma for the first time this August and your review made me even more excited. I have never heard about the Deep Fried Oreos. DS would flip out over those! So if we do not see them, we could request them--very nicely--maybe?

You will not see them, they're not a part of the buffet. It's a special dessert that Chef TJ does. I heard about the DFOreos from the wonderful world we call the DisBoards
When we were there last Dec for my dd's b-day, I requested them and got them. Dd was thrilled! We did eat at Boma again before we left, but of course I didn't request them again.

This time it was my b-day.. and I thought it couldn't hurt to request them.. and with the wonderful results I posted! I normally would have been very happy to have gotten them once, and I wouldn't have asked again if our friend hadn't joined us for dinner that night. I knew she had to try them... so I was nervy and asked again!..lol.

I really got the impression that Chef TJ loved sharing his special meal and dessert with us. I really loved how he got down to dd's level and asked what she liked. I can't say enough about how wonderful he was.. and how wonderful he made the whole experience that night. We were all made to feel very special!

Based on that.. I would say definately go for it! I hope you are able to get to try these! When I heard about them.. I thought dd, being a big oreo fan, would LOVE them. I didn't think I would.. I'm more of a pepperidge farm milano girl
But, I was wrong... they are YUMMY!!

Enjoy your trip.. and good luck getting the oreos. If you meet Chef TJ, please let him know where you heard about him, and give him a kiss from us!

I'm glad they're helpful. I love reading other's reviews too. It helped with a lot of our adr decisions, and for the most part, with wonderful results!

Hey Anc96 you are so true about these Disboards. I know my profile says I just joined in March but we planned our last 2 trips through these boards--and of course this one. (We changed e-mail several times and I couln't remember my stuff) Our DS age 21 tells everyone "oh ya,my Mom has all these Disney internet connections that give her special hints that make our trip perfect." It is pretty awesome when your 21 year old thinks his teacher Mom "has Connections" !

DS is excited about Boma --he has always been a bit of a foodie and now that he lives in the big city at college, he loves to show us new cuisine. His Aunt (passed away a few years ago) used to make him chocolate covered oreos--his fav. He always says "fancy oreos" are his favorite treat. ( He is a bit of a health guru now--no trans fats,add omega-3 etc so he only eats oreos for a special treat! )

I will definitely tell Chef TJ you said hello if I get the moxie up to ask about him and then the pleasure of talking to him. Wow, for DS this could be better than last trip's big excitement of meeting Mary Poppins!
