Hello all

I am starting to plan for our trip next summer - yes soooo long away I know! :rotfl:

We are going for my Mum's 60th and one of her requests and "must do's" is a meal at Boma. When we went before - we went for dinner. My question is... what is the difference between lunch and dinner? As in, do they serve a massively different selection of foods? Or do you think the foods will be different?

I don't want to book a lunch and she is disappointed as there were certain foods she loved at dinner and would hope might be on the menu again! Long shot I know...

Lunch would suit us I think, as its going to be on our 2nd AK day and I am only planning on us being there for a few hours.

But if you agree dinner would be best, I will find us something to do after we leave AK and then book an early dinner at Boma!

Thanks!

Hello UK Disboarder! I saw your post and wanted to answer. Boma have breakfast and dinner only, not lunch. They have a fabulous b'fast featuring baked goods, lots of fresh fruit and juices and every conceivable b'fast item, including omlettes and waffles. They also have an African juice that is to DIE for!

Dinner offers again a variety of items with special emphasis on African cuisine. Some, but not all, can be spicy. I myself do not like spicy, but I found most of it very, very flavorful.

To view the menu, go to www.allearsnet.com, under Dining at the top and you can view both menus.

Good luck and Enjoy - we love the food there as well!

Sorry that we are all bursting your bubble! Boma is only open for b-fast and dinner. We stayed at AKL last year and we ate at Boma's for b-fast and dinner. Let me say their b-fast was FANTASTIC!! No complaints from anyone in our party :cool1:! However, their dinner was a different story. Only my husband liked it and the rest of us thought that the spices were way to overpowering and just made our bellies hurt all night long :(. I ended up raiding the kids bar for some chicken nuggest and fries :)! However, everyone is different and my moto is everyone needs to try it for themselves instead of listening to reviews. Happy Planning :goodvibes!

oops! LOL how funny - what an idiot I am!!! :rotfl:

Dinner it is then!!!

We could do breakfast as well, on another day, not necessarily an AK park day too. Mum LOVED dinner (as did I of course!) so I'm sure she'll love breakfast too!

Thanks everyone! And sorry for being dumb! xxx
