Any feedback on this restaurant? Looking to try something different on our next trip in December.

Our family ate there is July and I thought the food was great! My oldest son is a very adventurous eater and he tried just about everything. My youngest stuck to the more familiar offerings. There was something for everyone, with plenty of unique offerings. I am still craving the chicken/apple soup! We had dinner, but friends said the breakfast is also very good. The Lodge is beautiful!

We had breakfast at Boma a few months ago and all agreed it was the best meal of our whole trip! Atmosphere was wonderful, staff very friendly, and just seeing the AKL itself is worth the trip out there for a meal. A lot of variety at the buffet for everyone and just...yum!!! :thumbsup2

It really is a must-do dinner for me. The food is AMAZING! It is expensive ($40 per adult) but there is so much to eat and choose from I think if you ordered a separate app, entree, dessert and drink from a non-buffet you would pay the same amount.

Boma is one of the most amazing culinary experiences we have ever had. There is everything to the exotic to ordinary on the buffet. If you go on a Sunday or Thursday night the lamb curry is the best!

Definitely something for everyone. My DD's 4,9,11 love it here, One likes spicy and the other 2 complain about black pepper being to hot  There is a section near the meats where additional flavors can be added to make it more authentic for the adventurous:thumbsup2 Always had a great time:cheer2:

We absolutely love BOMA and as far as kids go, a few of mine are very picky and they always find so much to eat there. They have a delicious carving board with meat that is great for picky eaters. They also have the regular kid friendly choices/spaghetti and meatballs, mac & cheese, etc. The zebra domes are to die for! A great choice that you won't regret.

Is there any kind of schedule posted so you know what might be served on a specific day of the week??

I enjoy Boma just for the soups. I could eat meal after meal of their soups. I havent found one yet I didnt like and they have like 15 different ones on rotation. Edited to clarify, the rest of the food is very good as well but for me the Soups are the star.

Im not a big meat eater but the spareribs are the best I have ever had, we have reservations there on our upcoming trip as Im sure the rest of our group is gonna love it as well, first trip for them!:thumbsup2

Our favorite restaurant. A must try. We have 3 kids and pretty picky at times, but they always find so much to eat here! Absolutely delicious and they can be as adventurous as they want. The soup choices are fantastic, but just try a little or you'll fill up! Zebra domes for dessert are our favorite.

Just STOP with the reviews already!!! I have to wait til our first night at WDW before I get to partake of Boma and that is still over 3 months away!!!!

:rotfl2:

We have ADRs for Boma on November 11. We were last there on May 9 and had a fabulous time. It's one of my boyfriend's favorite places to eat and a must do for us every visit. I could be satisfied with the soups alone! If I recall correctly, our choices that evening were Lentil and Sausage, Curried Coconut Seafood Stew, Butternut Squash and Mushroom. Delish! We washed it down with plenty of Mount Kilimaritas and Victoria Falls Mists! (We were staying at the AKL that night!)

I like Sanaa better but you wont regret Boma. Not a buffet fan but theirs is really good. Make reservations. You wont regret it

Boma has enough to give everyone several choices whether they like plain food or something new. The one thing that leapt out to me was that many of the African dishes have a warmth, or even sweetness, to them -- like cinnamon, cardamom or coriander. I enjoyed it very much, but it was a new flavor profile for me.
