Boma Dinner on a Wednesday

I hope someone has been to Boma for dinner recently on a Wednesday. I *think* we went there on a Wed on our trip in 2007, and they had Pepper Pot Soup, and, I think, their ribs. Are these things on the menu on Wed lately? DD fell in love with the Pepper Pot soup, and we missed it when we went on Mon last trip.

Any good news for me? Thanks!

I know they change their menu's but you can request a bowl of the soup you want even if they don't have it out. We found this out about 2 years ago when we went there and my son realized that his favorite soup - butternut squash - was not on the menu. He was really bummed but the waiter said that even though it's not out on the buffet, they always have it available in back. He brought all of us a bowl and even seconds for my son! This happened again last year and we didn't have a problem getting the soup from the kitchen!! I'm not sure about the ribs - they may be a bit harder to keep "on call". :goodvibes

Enjoy - Boma is our favorite restaurant!!!!

:cloud9: Tried Boma for the first time in May. I ate more there than at any other restaurant. The carrot-ginger soup is unreal! :thumbsup2

This is really outstanding news, and I would have NEVER thought of it. One more nugget of priceless info obtained from the DIS.

Thanks, DD will be so glad! ;)

Boma was my favorite dinner in May. But I was disappointed to find no butternut squash soup. I mentioned that to our waiter who did not offer it as an option, so I'm not sure that it would always be available. I certainly did find enough other items to enjoy. Of the numerous things I chose that were new to me there was only one dish that I did not like. I went back for seconds on about 4 things before hitting the desserts.

I'm very surprised to hear that, since we've been offered it 3 different times! I guess it depends on the waiter you get. I would suggest that if your waiter doesn't offer it to you (after you've specifically asked), then ask the chefs behind the soup section. They are always willing to help and answer any questions you have. It can't hurt going directly to the source!

Just wanted to give this thread a bump, I was wondering the same thing. We have Boma booked on Weds for our upcoming trip solely because DH is dying for those ribs! :)

That is good to know. I feel in love with the carrot ginger soup last time. I am sure I will like the butternut squash too. Maybe a bowl of each this trip.

I knew thier menu varied but didn't realize there was a rhyme/reason to it. Ahh the information available only on the Dis! :thumbsup2

BTW I can let you know about the carrot soup 2 weeks from tommorrow! At this time we will be 'waddling' out of AKL on our way back to ASMu. :cool1:

Yes, I am sure the ribs are served On Wed, and Sat. There is a rotation menu, somewhere around. But, I have this important rotation stuck in my head. Because, I love the ribs!:goodvibes

However, they did seem a little more spicier, in 2008, as in 2007. Nontheless, they were still delish!:thumbsup2
