There are four of us going to WDW in August. We wanted to have lunch at BOG however so does the rest of the world, or so it appears.
What I have been able to do is get a reservation for 2 at 11:55, a reservation for 1 at 11:55 and a reservation for 1 at 11:30. Will we be okay going together at about 11:45? Will the 1 be considered to late or the other 3 to early?

Anyone with experience in this sort of thing?? TIA.

Nope, I doubt you will have an issue. And since you chose your own seat, you can all sit together.

When we went last they didn't allow check-in earlier than 5 minutes prior to ADR time. I read another say they were allowed in early because they pre-ordered.

I would go at 11:30 am, explain the situation and see what they suggest. Times are staggered to help control table turnover, so it will be up to the CM's at the check-in kiosk to determine the best time to send you all through. IMHO, I wouldn't show up late for that first ADR.

No way would I show up late for that first reservation. Be on time for that and speak to the CMs THEN.

You should be fine although I would stay as close to the first ADR time as possible. They're generally more flexible if you're early, than late.

Get there at the earlier reservation time and pre-order for everyone. I think you'll be fine. We are always at least 10 minutes early and have never had an issue. They just send you on through - pre-ordering is the way to go!

You also have until August. I would keep checking for that party of 1 at 11:30 and see if you can get it closer to 11:55. I'm an AP holder who goes frequently and I've been able to snag quite a few BOG reservations 3-5 days in advance. That's when alot of cancellations happen. Keep an eye out when you get closer and I wouldn't be surprised if you can all get the same reservation time.

I would not show up at 11:45 for an 11:30 ADR. Depending on the day and how busy they are, your table could be gone.

Whom ever is the 11:30 should show up on time. If they know the situation they may just let that one person wait a few minutes and allow everyone to go in together at 11:50. Like others have mentioned it is probably a matter of controlling the crowd inside so they would be more apt to allow the one person to wait to go in vs allow 3 other to go in too early.
