BOG & Tomorrowland Desserts -- Too Much?

Our last day at Disney in August is going to be a MK day. I stalked and stalked and was able to get a reservation for the Tomorrowland Wishes Dessert Party for our last night. Got it within minutes after the dates opened, so I'm thinking we'll have a great table right up front. Perfect! It's a night with 9:00 fireworks, so the party starts at 8:00.

Then today, thanks to a wonderful DISer, I was also able to snag the coveted BOG ressie for 4:30 that day.

Now, we hadn't planned on eating dinner at all so we'd be ready for the desserts. I had made a 1900 PF breakfast reservation and then figured we'd do BOG for a late QS lunch and that would be it for meals---unless desserts count as a meal, which they do in my book!

So is 4:30 at BOG followed by Wishes Dessert at 8:00 going to be too much? I really hate to give up either, but afraid it's going to be just too much. Our family is me, DH, DS13, and DS11. The 11-year-old isn't a huge eater; the 13-year-old can definitely pack it away some days.

I wouldn't even consider it if we were doing a big buffet or family style dinner at 4:30, but is BOG dinner a little bit lighter, smaller portions?

Help! I know that if this is the worst of my worries, I'm doing pretty well!

I say keep both if you really want to. The day we went to dinner at BOG I wan't very hungry, so I got soup and then another appetizer as my entree. The entrees definitely aren't huge, but I wouldn't say they were skimpy either.

Keep them both! You will be good.

Good thing the desserts at BOG are horrible for a table service! The dessert party can be your dessert.

I have a BOG reservation for 7:10 and I just made a Wishes one for 9:20. It is mine and dh's anniversary and I was planning on having a custom cake delivered to BOG to celebrate, but for the same amount of money I decided just to do the dessert party. I think I'll just skip lunch that day.

As others have said, you'll probably be fine. The nice thing about BOG is that it's a TS location and not a buffet. So you can order as much or as little as you want. Given that you have the Dessert Party, I'd skip the desserts at BOG. I did like the cupcakes, but they weren't that outstanding that I'd feel the meal as incomplete without them.

Also, you can share meals, so if you want to split something you can do that pretty easily at BOG.

Have fun!

So much of BOG is the atmosphere so you won't feel like you are missing out too much if you share entrees and eat light. Just go in knowing you are going to enjoy the ambiance and not to eat everything on the menu.

Thanks for the feedback, guys! To be honest, I'm more interested in the experience than the food at BOG!

Quick question---we're actually on the dining plan (FREE!). Will they still let us share entrees?
