I was able to get reservation for party of 1 at BOG.... can I take kid with me?

All those attending need to be on the reservation. Is there a possibility they would let you in with an extra person?-Can't give a definitive answer on that.

Which meal? You might have more luck at dinner than at breakfast or lunch. But in general, every person who wants to dine needs to be on the ADR. You can try, but be prepared with a backup plan.

I think your chances are good, but there are no guarantees. There are no tables for 1 in BOG, so it's probably more about controlling numbers in the restaurant than seating people at tables. I would go to the kiosk and just ask really nicely if you can bring your child with you, but be prepared for a no. We've walked up to BOG twice for lunch with a party of 2. Once, I noticed a reservation for 1 was available while we were in MK, so instead of making the ADR, we ran over to BOG and asked if they could seat 2 of us and they let us in. The second time, we simply walked up, I asked nicely if there was any chance we could get in. The CM looked at the crowd on the bridge (which wasn't backed up), handed us two menus and told us to enjoy.

I've never had a problem adding a person or two on there at the door. They generally don't even blink an eye especially at lunch. Dinner may be more difficult but even then I've found the restaurants at wdw to be very accommodating.

No way to know, but it is a risk to do it that way. They would have the right to tell you that they can not seat the extra person. Do you want to risk that?

Im curious as to why you say more luck @ dinner than breakfast/lunch. We've been there for dinner every trip since its opened and the place never seems to have an empty table.

You can take as many as it on the reservation. You include all ppl. (even babies not eating) on the ADR, so if you only have an ADR for 1, you probably won't be allowed to go with 2 ppl.

I think your best option is to keep trying to snag a reservation for 2.

This is just speculation, but for breakfast and lunch, because these meals are shorter and tables turnover quick, the amount of people that can be served are likely constrained by the throughput of the kitchen in addition to the number of tables. How many meals can they prepare and serve? Even if there are some empty chairs at tables, that doesn't mean the kitchen can absorb the added diners. Whereas with dinner, the meals go slower, table turnover isn't as quick, and the number of people served is probably more constrained by the number of tables. I don't know of any tables at BOG that seat only 1. They might be more likely to accommodate adding a second person to a table seating one because the kitchen might be able to accommodate the additional meal. Again, just speculation.

Probably not. They book to capacity and people constantly try to get extra people in. I wouldn't risk disappointing a child by taking them up to the check-in only to get turned away, which is most likely going to happen.

Did you look in all the rooms? In the beginning, they'd fill up the ballroom but keep the other rooms empty. They've spread out now, but there are always plenty of empty tables because dinner capacity is limited by the kitchen, not the chairs.

Most of the time we've been seated in the main dining area. The darker room with the thunder and rose, were a bit on the cold side which I'm guessing will be a plus and a room I'll prefer come September. :)

Sounds like you have a reservation for breakfast or lunch since you were able to get a res for one person. Reservations for these two meals are based on BOG's total capacity. There are no actual tables for "one person," but the assumption is you will be able to find seats somewhere in the restaurant. Have you ever walked into a counter service restaurant and had a hard time finding an empty table, but there are tables with just one or two empty seats?

At any Disney restaurant your reservation needs to include everyone who is going to be dining regardless of age or you risk the possibility that someone in your group will not be seated. If this happens you will have to decide who will not be dining or walk away and be charged the no show fee. Castmembers will do their best to seat everyone, but there are times when it might not be possible. We saw it happen at a Disney restaurant where anyone not on the reservation was turned away when the restaurant was running behind schedule.

Keep checking online for a reservation for everyone or another reservation for one at the same time as your current reservation. You can subscribe to the cancellation thread for your month at the top of the Dining Reservations board or try Touring Plans.

Depends on how booked they are. Fire Code capacity will prevent them from just randomly adding people.

They can, and will, turn away extra people if they are at capacity, which would not be surprising for BOG. Keep trying for a reservation for two, because a walk-up is not likely, and you will be treated as a walk-up in most cases if your guest count exceeds your reservation count.

Keep searching for a reservation for 2 or another for 1 that is close to the same time. In Oct I went with my 2 sisters and we each had a reservation for 1 about 15 mins apart. We were allowed to enter together.
