BOG - preorder/modifications

I tried searching, but can't find an answer.
When pre-ordering, can a request be made for the sausage to be left completely off an order? The person that I would be ordering for just can not stand even the sight of it. No matter if it can't be modified, as she gave me an alternate choice.
