Ok. So our family of 4 will be in the world on Sunday. Woohoo!!! I was just printing up my reservations and noticed I had erroneously made a reservation for 3 (not 4) at 8am on 8/23. I called Disney Dining and they weren't able to help me. Yikes!

I was just able to book a party of 1 in my wife's MDE at 8:15 am for that morning. What is the best way to handle this? We were planning on preordering. I am hoping that the BOG gatekeeper in the hub will allow us to enter the park at the same time and that the BOG check-in person will let us all in for the 8am reservation even though one of us has an 8:15. I know this is not a given and will depend on how flexible those CMs feel like being so I'm not going to count on it.

So if we are not allowed to sit as a party of 4 at 8am, could I check in and enter with my 2 daughters and wait for our food at a table and then when my wife is checked in for her party of one can she just head straight to our table without ordering food? (we will have preordered enough for all 4 of us).

I hope this is not seen as circumventing rules. That is really not my intent. I'm just trying to get us all in at the time I had thought I had booked us at.

You’re ok with things as they are- smart move to get the ADR for one person. Because both the 8 AM and 8:15 AM reservations are PPO so close together, entering the park won’t be an issue either. You’ll all be allowed back toward BOG together.

You can preorder as much or as little food as you want, so ordering food for your wife won’t be an issue, but it may be easier for her to just preorder her own food because of the logistics of checking in and paying for the order.

If you can not all get in to BOG together at 8 AM (and it’s likely you’ll be able to get in but that does depend on a lot of factors) then go ahead in at 8 AM, having preordered. If they don’t let your wife in at the same time, have her tell the CM that checks her in that you preordered for her (maybe she should have a screenshot just to be safe). She may then have to explain all of this at the cashier desk as well.

Is pre ordering for BOG different than other QS? What is PPO?
Be Our Guest has the option to preorder your food up to 30 days before your reservation. If you preorder, you can skip the line to use the ordering kiosks when you get there and head straight to the cashier to pay for your order. Some other QS offer mobile ordering, but that's not 30 days out (it's meant for when you're just about there and ready to eat) and it's already paid when you arrive at the counter to pick up your food (at Be Our Guest, you still have to stop at a cashier).

PPO is Pre- Park Opening. It's a reservation for breakfast before the park opens.

Thank you!

I can’t see it being a problem. I don’t ever recall seeing any triangular shaped tables, but then I’ve never been to BOG so assuming that it’s like every other restaurant in the world may be a mistake.

When I go to the MDE app and go to order food, BOG doesn't come up. Is that because I am not within the 30 day window?

1. You do have to be within the 30 day window
2. I suspect you are clicking on "order food" in the MDE app's main screen. BOG won't appear there as you have to have a reservation.

Right now, preordering for BOG isn't working on the app anyhow- if you click on your BOG reservation in the MDE app, a little domed plate appears toward the right that says "Place or Modify Order." If you press that, a banner will come up tellng you to go to disneyworld.com.

So, to place your mobile order, log into MDE on a computer (or in the web browser on your phone but not the app). Find your BOG reservation and click on it. A window will open and on the right it says "place your order." Click through from there.

It won’t be a problem getting in all together and you pick your seats since it is QS. You might even get more pastries with the separate reservations

:)

I’ve been there three times and have seen no triangular shaped tables. A table that seats 3 will seat 4. :)

Not at BOG, but there have been restaurants where I've seen a rectangular table up against a wall, so that it actually did seat only three. Probably no issues like this at BOG, though.
