On our last day we plan to get a late start at magic kingdom in the afternoon and stay until after the fireworks, this will be our second day at magic kingdom and we are torn between having dinner at BOG and Artist Point storybook dining. Is it a big hassle to leave magic kingdom and head to dinner at fort wilderness and then come back? Or would it be better to stay in the park and hit BOG? (Never been to either) We could always go to lunch at BOG and get a look on our first day. It will be me, my wife and six year old daughter. Thoughts?

You can take a boat from MK to the Wilderness Lodge. It is easy. BOG is better for lunch. Snow White is the better for dinner (supper) between the two restaurants.

We have done both BOG lunch and dinner—I would do lunch since it’s a quick service meal (so less $$) and you still get to see the inside and order the Grey Stuff (it’s good but nothing spectacular, just fun to order because of the song). We have done BOG lunch and Artist Point dinner on the same day—I would absolutely pick Artist over BOG dinner. It’s an easy boat ride to Artist and kind of a nice break. The Evil Queen is fantastic! We try for an early dinner so we can come back and have 2-3 hrs at MK when done with dinner. We have a 6 yr old daughter as well

1. Artist Pointe Storybook Dinning beats dinner at BOG for us easily. A better atmosphere and food for about the same price. The characters at Storybook are fabulous too. They run around, play, and dance. We are going back to Storybook but not dinner at BOG.
2. No, it is not a hassle to go from Magic Kingdom to Wilderness Lodge (where Artist Pointe is; not Fort Wilderness.) We take the boat which we have found to be very reliable, fairly quick, and just a different ride. Ours kids (4 & 6) love it. We plan on 30 minutes each way just in case we just miss a boat (my memory ash them running every 15 minutes) but even with that, you are enjoying a boat ride on the lake and lagoon, seeing the other resorts and magic kingdom as you ride. Better than the monorail, bus, or ferry rides!
3. Lunch at BOG is the best meal there for us. You get to see everything, minus the Beast meet and greet, with the best cost efficiency for the quality.
