i currently have reservations for dinner at BOG on my birthday. This is my first birthday I will actually be in the parks (can't wait to get my button). It's a short trip, we're going to Jiko the night prior. I'm wondering if I should stick with BOG or celebrate somewhere else like California grille ?

You're probably going to get all sorts of answers that is gonna make it even harder to decide.
My thought is you picked BOG for a reason so go with your first gut instinct and eat there.
Personally I adore BOG but have only ever been for lunch and honestly probably would never go for dinner.

I'd stick with your original choice and go to BOG. You'll be in the park, you'll get to see the beast. The food is good. You really cant go wrong.

Cali Grill use to be my fave place but since the refurb, its gone downhill. My last few experiences there have been disappointing.

I think I will stick with it. I've been twice before and have enjoyed the meal and the immersive experience !

If it were me I would probably go to a lunch I loved, and eat less at BOG. The atmosphere and meeting the Beast were awesome, but the food is mediocre. I've seen plenty of tables ordering appetizers and dessert only. Hope you have an awesome B-Day!

I just want to add, it is very hard to get BOG for dinner and you got it for your birthday dinner, many can't even get a ADR for any night of their trip, stick to BOG is the next best thing after CRT, IMO afterall you will be dining inside the Second Castle inside MK :D

If this helps your decision - my wife wants to eat at BoG for Christmas Eve.

Request 'West Wing' dining room.

And do yourself a favor - go for the Dessert Party too (Plaza). The cost is what you're going to save by going to BoG instead of CA Grill, etc.

Lastly, enjoy a happy birthday!
