Hi all ... We have reservations for both BOG
( dinner ) and Cinderella's royal table ( lunch ) but can only do one .... I would appreciate your advice or input on which one we should choose . There are four of us ... Myself .. DH..DD (10) and DS (10). I find both restaurants pricey but BOG seems to be a little less money ... I think it's worth doing ... Can anyone comment on the food drinks ... Character interaction... The whole experience :). Really need help on this one :)

BOG is not a traditional character meal. The Beast (usually) is available for a meet & greet after you've finished dining. He will walk through the dining room to visit the rose in the West Wing, but he does not stop at tables to meet the guests. There are no other characters at BOG.

CRT has princesses. Usually it's Cinderella (downstairs), Aurora, Ariel, Snow White, and Jasmine. It's a more traditional character meal, where the princesses (except Cindy) come around to the tables and meet the guests that way.

Food: Neither are really outstanding to me, but neither is awful either. BOG is an a la carte menu, where as CRT has a prix fixe menu. I think the desserts at BOG are a little better (cupcakes!) than at CRT. The entree quality was about the same.

Atmosphere: This is where CRT really shines. You're eating inside a castle! Guests (adults too!) get a sword or magic wand and a wishing star (at least the adults in my party have). BOG has three rooms and one is distinctly better than the others. The West Wing is the best of the rooms and worth visiting. The Rose Gallery is nice and has a large Belle and Beast statue, so at least you know it's Beauty and the Beast themed. The Ballroom, where the vast majority of the table are located, is like a large conference center dining hall. It's fine, but nothing really special about it.

Overall: If you can swing it, I would probably opt to dine at CRT at least once just because of the overall atmosphere. No where else says "Disney magic" quite as much to me. My ideal plan would be dinner at CRT and lunch at BOG.

Just did BOG for the first time in October. One of the greatest experiences of my Disney-going-life. Went ahead and booked dinner for next November. I found everything from the food to atmosphere to customer service to be top-notch. But to be fair, I've never done CRT so can't really compare and say BOG is better. If I'd never done either and I could do one I think CRT would win out..just because it's Cinderella's Castle and you have the added element of character interaction at your table. Sorry you can't do both! :(

No characters at BOG except you can get a photo with the Beast after dinner. He doesn't visit tables, schmooze or sign autographs, he's only there for photos.

It's going to depend on whether you have any huge Beauty and the Beast fans in your party, and how much the castle and princesses mean to your party.

ITA with this. :thumbsup2 I know people rave about the inside of BOG, but it really just reminds me of a large hotel ballroom, albeit on the fancy side. If you can get in there for lunch (if you're staying onsite, you should be able to make a FP+ for it 27 days before the day you want to dine there...this FP+ doesn't count against the 3 you're given in advance for the day) I'd stay with CRT and do a BOG lunch. There is nothing more magical, IMO, than dining in Cinderella castle.

We did breakfast at CRT and dinner at BOG. We enjoyed both but I seem to have the opposite impression of a lot of posters. While the idea of eating in Cinderella's castle was cool, I found the atmosphere itself somewhat underwhelming. To be fair, we were a little rushed getting there in time for our ADR so it's possible I just didn't stop and "smell the roses" long enough :) BOG I thought was fantastic. I can't compare the dinner food at CRT but we really liked breakfast, and the food at BOG was very good I thought. For service I definitely give the edge to BOG. The character interaction with the princesses was better than the Beast, plus there are more of them and they come right to your table, so there's that.

Cinderellas Royal Table wins out for us. We went to BOG for both lunch and dinner and loved it but when you want magical-that is CRT. We were at CRT for dinner during the fireworks and that was so awesome and the beautiful princesses added to the magic. I will say the cupcakes at BOG lunch are to die for!:goodvibes

Hi! I know this is an older post but I was searching for something and it pulled this up so I thought I would ask. Do either CRT or BOG offer adult drinks?

if you have little girls CRT is the place to go, BOG is beautiful inside and i think the food was better but if I could only do one it would be the castle because I have a young daughter, and she loved the princesses more the the beast, the princesses come to your table, and the beast you meet on the way out.
