Im just wondering what the deal is with BOG lunch when there is a toddler under 3. Shes obviously not on the meal plan so we wont be able to order her anything. What can we do for lunch to feed her? Should we bring a snack or share our food?

This raises another question....for other character meals that are buffets I assume we can just feed her from the buffet, same with family style. What about TS that you order from a menu...do we pay OOP for something for her? And for QS as well? Last time we went to WDW we didnt have a little one that wasnt on the dining plan so we didnt have to worry about it.

Thanks!!

Can't you pay out of pocket at BoG? I believe she can share your meal everywhere. I'm sure someone will post definite info.

At any buffet or family-style, she can eat whatever she wants.

At any a la carte place, you can either share what you order for yourself or you can purchase something for her. Same for any QS.

ETA: You say "other character meals." Just want to be sure you know that BoG at lunch does NOT have characters. Beast only appears at dinner.

You can order something for her at BOG lunch if you want. You may not be able to pre-order, though, because you can't use two methods of payment when you pre-order.

Confirming what others have said-
She can eat what she pleases at any buffet/ aycte meal. My 2 yo almost got our money's worth on pineapple bread, pog juice and sausages at Ohana last summer, at no additional cost to us, from his own plate. At these places she will not be expected to literally eat from an adult's plate (as in, you do not have to load up your own plate with nuggets in order for her to have nuggets).

At any TS or QS meal she can either share with you or you can order her something of her own. My 2 yo loves the grilled cheese on the kid menu at BOG, so we order him his own. DH or I will usually have the thimble of soup it comes with. At a QS meal you always have the option to provide your own food (I've tossed my 2 yo a PBJ more than once at a QS and no one was even around to care). I imagine at a TS location it wouldn't be an issue (I haven't tried so don't quote me on that) if you really didn't want to share something or order her her own meal.

If you're on the dining plan, any QS or TS you order just for her would be OOP.

There isn’t any “free food” for under 3s at QS restaurants. You can either share from your plate or order a separate kids meal. At BOG the portions were large enough that DH and I had enough to share with our little one and still be satisfied ourselves. You can also use a snack credit and order a dessert to bulk up your meal. At BOG lunch it will be crowded enough that no one will even notice if you bring your own food in to feed your toddler if you want to do that instead.

At TS buffets under 3 is free and you can feed them family style. On the meal plan the TS restaurants that aren’t buffet still include an appetizer, entree and dessert, so there’s plenty to share from your plate. When we ate at CRT they brought my 2.5 y/o his own kids meal plate for free. That didn’t happen at any of the other TS restaurants though.

If your child is a huge eater you always have the option to order more food out of pocket.

Thanks everyone! She's 2 and she doesn't eat too much now. I think she would be fine sharing our meals I just didnt know how it all worked. She loves snacks too so we can always keep something in the bag for QS meals. And yes, we are using the dining plan. I think all of our meals are buffet or family style. Thanks again!

Just a clarification. Only the DELUXE plan includes apps. The regular DDP is entree, dessert, drink only.
