BOG Lunch Pre-order Question

Last year when we did BOG for lunch, we did the pre-order. However, when we got to our reservation, we had to wait in line with everyone else and order again. This didn't go over well with our 1 year old as it took forever. I understand that they were still testing things out back then.

For those who have pre-ordered lunch lately, could you please let me know your experience?
 
We have always pre-ordered
Sometimes that makes for a shorter line, sometimes it doesn't.
You still have to wait to confirm and process payment (via card or MB) for your order
Sometimes they loose the pre-orders. It's still not a fool proof process.
The good news is it should still be one of the shorter lines your 1 YO has to deal with during the trip :)
 
do you know why you had to wait and re-order?
did you inform them you had a reservation and that you had pre-ordered so that you would go to the CM's that confirmed your order?
could they not find your pre-rdered meals?

i went in april of last year about 6 weeks after ADR/pre-ordering started and everything went totally smooth.

you make your ADR and then anytime between 30 days prior and 5 minutes prior to your reservation time you can pre-order via MDE by clicking on the pre-order button on the page that has your BOG ADR details.
 
Hmm I have a reservation for the 5th of Feb and haven't gotten anything yet. I think it may be due to my no gluten dietary need.

not sure what you mean by this.
you don't "get" anything.
you just go on your MDE and look at your BOG ADR.
if you don't see where it says pre-oder then perhaps it does have something to do with your dietary needs if those were noted on your ADR but i cannot be sure since i don't have dietary needs.

Everyone was put in the same line. Said something about the pre-order kiosk being down, so everyone had to re-order again.
 
I went in May and November of last year and both were really smooth and easy processes. No issues at all. Looks like you might have just had a little bit of bad luck.
