With a table meal on the deluxe plan you get app entree and dessert. So if I go to Be Our Guest for lunch could I get soup entree and dessert? I know it's not a good use of a credit but we may have too many credits.

No. If you choose to go this route, it converts as a QS meal, which for the remainder of 2016 includes an entree, drink, and dessert. If it's for 2017, it includes only an entree and a drink. You can use your snack credits for soup and/or dessert.

Poor, poor value for what you're planning to do, but you already know that.

BOG is QS for breakfast and lunch so no you will not get what you'd get with a TS credit on the DXDP.

And always remember, "value" should be looked at as an average, and not each credit individually. If you're doing well enough with your other credits (easy enough to do on DxDP), a suboptimal use of one or two credits will be fine. Certainly better than not using them at all.

Exactly. We find that on the DxDDP we can "afford" to choose a few CS meals if they are the meals we want. Look at the entire picture to determine your overall value.

My outlook on the plan is - first I pick where/what we want to eat, calculate the cost, then compare to the dining plan and if it saved me $, its a good value and I get the plan. This trip (in 3 weeks) I've been planning on the QDSP for our 4 night trip. Literally last night I was suddenly able to pick up cancellations which made the DDP a better value so am switching over. You won't enjoy eating food just because its a better $ value but so long as you're still saving, it's all good. Enjoy your picks!

I would second this. We just returned from 9 days w/Deluxe Dining and we quickly realized it was going to be almost impossible to use all our TS and snack credits. Sure we ate a signatures every day (sometimes twice a day) but as the week progressed we found ourselves cancelling ADRs because we simply were not hungry enough to sit through another meal after just finishing one a few hours earlier. We ended up with more credits than we could use so on our checkout day we found a family that was just sitting down to their meal and treated them. Also snacks! OMG too many snacks! Started with 54 snacks and couldn't possibly use them all. We loaded our suitcase up with gift shop candy at the end of our trip and we still had some snack credits leftover. I would not to worry too much about the "value" of a meal here or there when using Deluxe plan. There will be plenty of food to go around.
