BOG Lunch FPs

Hope someone can answer this one!

I had a dinner ADR for BOG later this month. I gave it up because lunch just seemed to work better for us---more appealing menu, time wise with other things we're doing, etc. Anyway, was really excited about just doing lunch there and prepared to wait in the line for it.

Then the whole FP thing came up and everyone's been making lunch reservations. I've tried and tried and can't get it to work for me--and believe me, I've tried everything!!!!

So I'll be arriving at POFQ in ten days, hoping for a lunch at BOG on our last day. Is there any chance of getting a FP once we arrive at the resort? is that something they can do at the desk?

If not, how bad are the standby lines now that so many people are doing FP for it? Is it better to go really, really early or wait and head over around 1:30 or 2:00 for a later lunch? We're hoping to go on 8/30 and TP has it listed as only a 3 for that day, so not expecting huge crowds.

What do you all think? Any alternatives I haven't considered? What are my chances of having lunch there without waiting two hours?

This won't make or break my vacation but something I'm really looking forward to. I even convinced DS11 and DS13 to indulge mom in this one "girlie" thing since I don't get to do any of the other princess stuff!

The only way you will get one now is if you are invited to test My Magic Plus or the BOG pre-order while you are there. The preorder is not yet available to the general public.

But a lot of people are doing the pre-order even though they weren't invited. They're just logging into the site, putting in their info, and they get it. And they never get an invite to do so. For whatever reason, it doesn't work for me and I've tried all the ways that have been suggested.

Staying at POFQ, I know I don't get the My Magic Plus or FP+, but it seems people are doing the BOG pre-order outside of those.

As far as I know there isn't any way to do it outside of My Magic Plus.

Unless, I'm really missing something, this thread is full of people who just used the posted link to make reservations. Some got invited, some didn't. Some are testing FP+, some aren't. Some have MB, some don't. They're using DME reservation numbers, some are using resort reservation numbers. It kind of seems like a free for all! And people are reporting they're name is on the res list and they're getting in without any trouble.

If you can't use it the way they did, then it apparently means it is not available to you on your account. No idea why it is not available to you. But I'm pretty sure they won't set you up with it if you can't access it.

They are still in testing mode so maybe they are making it available to some persons but not others, even outside of the other tests that are going on now.

I just ran it and I can't get through to make a reservation either. I got an error message that says to ask your Lobby Concierge. Do that, but I wouldn't expect that they would definitely be able to set you up at this point as everything about this system is still in flux.
