I was finally able to get a BOG dinner ADR for July 3rd. I mainly wanted to get this so we didn't have to leave the park for dinner and come back on such a busy day. We currently have an ADR for lunch at BOG too. DH and I already have a lunch ADR there on another day earlier in the week. (July 3rd is the last day of our trip and DS (17) is joining us for the day.) Of course, the men told me they don't care where we eat, and I should just decide!

Would you do lunch and dinner at BOG on the same day? If not, what other CS would be a good choice?

I would keep dinner at BOG and do something else for lunch. We really like Columbia Harbor House for CS. For TS we really like LTT.

Since you have a lunch ADR for earlier in the week, I think I would cancel your second lunch and stick with dinner. That way, you get to experience one of each. We are eating at BOG twice next week, dinner one day and lunch the next. I am glad they are not on the same day. I hear Pecos Bills is really good for CS. We have it one our list.

We have done BOG lunch and dinner on the same days a few times. Very different menus except for the dessert cupcakes. If your focus is more to see the inside rooms, then one meal there is enough. Columbia Harbor House is a good choice for CS too.

Thanks everyone! I am going to cancel the same day BOG. I finally pinned down DS and had him look at the menu.... He wasn't thrilled with the lunch menu anyway, so that sealed the deal.

He liked the looks of CHH and Pecos Bills....

Does MK really reach capacity on July 3rd? We have CRT for breakfast at 8:30am and the dessert party for that night's fireworks, but there is no way we can stay in the park all day long with my 3-year-old son.

I have no idea if the park will close, but I have heard that there could be phased closures... My DS is flying down the night before and joining us so we can look at FL colleges with him following our trip. We are spending July 3rd with him in MK and won't be getting to the park until about 11am or 12pm. We are planning on staying until close (and it's an EMEH.) Coming to the parking that late and not leaving for an afternoon swim/rest in the summer is the exact opposite of everything we EVER do when we go! I sure hope we survive the day!

Oh and.... WE ARE

Ahh gotcha. I was worried about the phased closures - but everything I read seemed like as long as I was staying in a Disney resort I'd be ok. I'm just hoping we don't run into a situation with the dessert party, since it's pre-paid. We aren't going into the parks on the actual 4th of July - that's a resort day for us!

Have a great trip!

And...PENN STATE! LOL

I'm pretty sure that if you have a reservation (like a dessert party) you would be let in.... I'm sure if I'm wrong, someone will let me know...

We love dinner at BOG! I would have also cancelled the BOG lunch on the same day you are having dinner. We really love having lunch at Columbia Harbor House. But BOG dinner is really a great experience, and the food was wonderful! Enjoy!
