whats the deal with BOG breakfast? i took a reservation there because thats all i could get on my trip. i've never been and was wondering if its worth it. My group is not big on breakfast but were considering because its new to us, if we wanted to split a sandwich over 2 people do they allow that or do they just charge $25/person regardless of what you order?

Is it worthwhile?

You aren't paying for the food. You could split, but entrees aren't large. It's not a per-head meal. It's still QS.

You're paying for hype, and in some cases, the PPO access to Fantasyland. Also, lukewarm food and pre-frozen pastries.

We thought the portions were large. I could have totally split the sandwich thing and been fine. The food is decent, and the PPO thing is nice. the restaurant, though, is meh.

It is QS, so you can order as much or a little as you like. You can all just get a cupcake and a cup of coffee if you want. If you do order a meal, you will get a plate of 4 or 5 pastries to share among you as well.

It is overpriced. The pastries were meh. The food's pretty good though. The portions are large. I don't think it's worth it, unless you really like Beauty & the Beast or want to get a jump on the crowd for an attraction.

The portions seem small in the photos but it's always been more than enough for us. It's nothing spectacular but nice to visit the castle.

We are only ordering 4 adult meals and letting our little girls eat the pastries for breakfast. It'll be $100 to eat in the Beast's castle. But I'm okay with that :)

Are the pastries a certain amount per person, or the same number no matter how many people are on your table?

There are 4-5 pastries per plate. Generally, with 4 or less people at the table, you get one plate of pastries. 5 or more people at the table gets two plates of pastries.

The pastries are generally a chocolate chip croissant, two mini-pastries, and two mini-muffins. Small...not substantial at all, and very generic. Average to below average at best.

Just wanted to clarify, and if I'm wrong, @DisBuckMan , please correct me. The number of people AT the table isn't the determining factor; it's how many people order a meal that determines the number of pastry plates. If only 2 order, but you have 5 people at the table, you still only get one plate, correct?

I believe 1 or 2 meals ordered = 1 pastry plate, 3-4 meals ordered = 2 pastry plates and so on, per ticket.

Be sure to pre-order, too!

Thanks for that. We're intending on getting meals for three of us, but not my 6 year old. She's light eater at breakfast but loves pastries so was going to let her have her choice of those. Looks like there's plenty to keep her happy :-)

I'd hold onto it, if you've never been before. Being in the castle/ballroom is pretty cool if you ever liked the movie as a kid (which I did). Breakfast isn't anything special, at all really. WAY overpriced and it's not something I would consider unless I was on the dining plan (which we were). Lunch wasn't horrible, but nothing I could write home about. I'd like to try dinner once before saying I'm done with it. Neither one of my kids watch BatB ever, so it's really just for me lol. If they get really into it I would of course try hard next time we go, but otherwise I feel like it's one of those one-and-done experiences. But I would definitely do it once. :)

And yes, getting into the park before rope drop is pretty much the only plus for bfast.

We have done Breakfast and lunch at BOG. Lunch was great the best onion soup I have had in a long time. The Breakfast IMO was gross no taste and not worth the money at all.

I think it's fun to do once for getting a jump on the rides. We did this last month and rode Mine Train twice in a row! Kids loved it.

If I was on the DDP I'd do it every time. Best use of a QS credit!

We ordered 3 meals for 4 ppl (my kids split one) and we got one pastry tray. If we had placed 2 entirely separate orders we would have gotten two, but felt that would be wasteful. To me the food is ok, however not worth $25 a meal so we go when we're on the DDP.
