I've been on "Body Wars" but not on "Star Tours", I've read that these are very similar rides, is that true?

I got a little nauseous on "Body Wars" and will avoid it in the future but would like to try "Star Tours". If it's exactly the same thing just with a different movie I probably take a pass.

Yep...they are the "exact" same concept...just a different "movie"

To be honest - Body Wars always made me a little more nauseous then Star Tours...but I found, if I just looked down...I was fine.

I totally agree with Stinkerbelle. I always felt more nauseous on Body Wars. I have found that sitting in the back row helps a lot, too.

Same ride technology for the most part, although generally most people find Star Tours to be less bumpy

They both are flight simulators. But it seems that more people get queasy on Body Wars, maybe because of the subject matter. You are supposed to be inside a human body with all kinds of internal organs, veins, and that fun stuff.

Star Tours is a battle in space and the graphics are not "yucky!" I would agree and say give it a try, and just look down if you start to feel strange.

Body Wars DOES make you more nauseous for 2 reasons. A) The subject matter: You're swimming around in blood, the thought of that could make someone queezy and B) The feel of being within liquid is a little more pronounced than the feeling of being in a Starspeeder through space... But the rides use the same system - I happen to like Star Tours a lot better and if you know the characters it'll be great!

Tip: Sit in the front row, it's the most tame. Back row is VERY jolty and you feel the movement more.

Star Tours is a much MUCH smoother ride.

However, I believe Body Wars has been closed pretty much indefinitely along with the rest of the Wonders Of Life pavilion.

ditto above posters- I can ride Star Touse MUCh easier than Body Wars - Body Wars makes me much more nauseous.

I personally like star tours better, but that might be because I've rode body wars so much. I dont think that star tours will make you sick, body wars makes me feel sick (I think its cause you feel like your floating) but not star tours. They are both very similar but if you can do body wars then star tours should be a piece of cake.

I can ride everything at WDW without getting sick (even Mission: Space, though the teacups can be touch and go) but Body Wars did me in! I love Star Tours and while the ride system is exactly the same, the motion in Body Wars was completely nauseating to me. I don't even mind the subject matter, but something about the motion and way it was filmed just set me off. I had to close my eyes through almost the whole thing and won't ride it again, but I love Star Tours and ride it multiple times when we go.

Yes! That's it! I could never quite explain it...but that's exactly what makes me feel queasy...the floating like on a boat motion was the best I could verbalize it as. heheh
