BOB double Jogging stroller, too big to take to WDW?

I have a stroller dilemma. We are going to WDW in march with 3 small kids ages 5, 3, and 21 months. The younger 2 uses our current Baby Trends sit and stand double stroller when ever we are out and about, my 5 year will use it if he's exhausted in which case we put the 21 months old in a carrier. Our problem now is that DS#2 the baby that usually sits in the fronts seems to be getting too long for the front sit, his legs keeps getting caught in the wheels. So my husband and I are debating getting a BoB Jogging stroller, because it seems that it would be a good fit for our big kids, if I can get pass the price shock that is. But I'm wondering if it would be way too big to take to WDW, and too much of hassle to maneuver around the park?. We are driving to Disney.

If anyone has the BOB, please shed some light on this matter for me.

Thank you.

We have a BOB and I absolutely love it. But, it does have it's issues for sure. It is a comfy stroller for your kids and I believe you could even get all 3 of your children on it (saw lots of people at Disney doing this). It turns on a dime with one finger and will fit through most standard doorways. Around WDW you will not have any problems. We have used ours and they are quite popular in the parks.

The negatives are it is very heavy and it is an extremely bulky fold. You can take off the front wheel a bit and that does help. Just a warning, it takes up a lot of space in your vehicle as well. We avoided the bus system with it and drove to the parks. We also did not even attempt to use the trams, especially now with that stupid safety door they put on. We just walked from the parking lot to the parks and honestly, we usually beat the trams in.

I know a lot of people use it for it's design which is a jogger. If you don't really need a jogger perhaps you might want to consider purchasing a double citi mini. It would hold your 5 year old. It has a much better fold and while it doesn't push as well as the bob, it pushes pretty darn good. These strollers are also available for rental from many offsite companies if you don't think you need to purchase another stroller for your home use. Hope this helps some.

Thank you so much for the info, so very helpful. I will look into the City Mini, we are thinking just purchasing, because We don't want to have to rent every time we go to WDW.

Thank you again, really appreciate it!!

Check albeebaby.com. They have the 2011 closeout in a tan color for a steal with free shipping.

I agree the City Mini double is easy to fold up. My tall 3 year old fits comfortably, and I love the coverage provided by the canopy.

The Bob strollers are built to last, check out craigslist for used doubles.

The most it might need would be new inner tubes for the tires or to replace the handle bar grip. Both of which you could get for cheep at a local bike shop.

The revolution double is rated for 100lbs, but i have watch people easily pushing well over 100 lbs.

We have the bob double and it can easily push my 7,5 & q yr olds all at once. The little kids sit in the seats and my 7 yr old will sit cross cross in the foot well often for a little break. I've sat there for parades etc. the thing is a bit beastly in terms of carrying it etc but its a work horse. with the parent console to hold adult drinks the kids each has drink pockets in their seats. The under basket storage is a bit lacking but I use valet clips to hook the baby bag on and you can't tip it. I found the city mini double tippy with a baby bag on the back and kids climbing in a nd out which is another reason I'm not a huge wdw Maclaren fan. and I own 2 for home use.

I love, love, love my Bob Dualie and I wish I could bring it to WDW but I will not for a few reasons (unless someone makes a good rebuttal: ) :

1. We are flying and American doesn't gate check double strollers. This is a beastly stroller even when folded up.
2. I had a hard enough time getting my Maclaren Twin Techno on and off the buses at WDW. I can't fanthom my Bob. FWIW, I was pregnant and had a almost 4 & 2 yr old.
3. It is expensive and I do use it for running. It would be missed greatly if I lost it and really don't have the $500 do drop for another.

The basket is bigger than my Maclaren (which I do plan to bring as of now). The BOB is the smoothest ride (stroller) I have and for that reason alone, I wish could bring it. It is effortless to push. Sometimes my 6 year old sits on the foot area and rides, no big deal....

We went to a local store and tested both the Citi Mini and the Bob, completely fell in with the BOB, because of the very fact that DS#1 the 5 year old could also sit by the foot rest without any issue, and we could still easily push it around with all 3 on there. We plan on Driving to Disney, so I do not see a problem bringing it with us, but I do worry about leaving it ;(, but with 3 kids not much I can do about that .

And bought it off of Amazon of all places, it was so much cheaper by almost 30%, free 3 day shipping w amazon prime, and no tax .

Another place that was cheaper than amazon by $10 was the yellow children Boutique, but we were worried about getting it on time for our trip.

Congrats! You will love it. As for the theft risk, just put a bike lock or the specially designed stroller lock around through the back wheels only. The cm's can still move the stroller and while not fool proof, it will definately deter most would be theives.
