Boats From POR/POFQ to Dowtown Disney

We'll be at POFQ from 12/30 thru 1/3.

We intend to attend the 9pm Cirque Du Soleil show on 1/3, and I'm wondering if anyone knows how late in the evening do the boats run back to the resort? Thanks!

I have another question regarding the boats, we are staying at CBR but I think a leisuely boat ride to DTD would be fun on our first day since we are not going to the parks. Can anyone ride the boats or do you have to show proof that you are staying in PO?

I'm not sure how late the boats run, but anyone can ride on them.

I think the boats run until 11pm, but it depends on the weather, too. You don't have to show proof that you're a POR or POFQ guest to ride the boat around. It's a nice way to check out the theme of both resorts. Have fun!

When I was there in April the boats were running from 4:30 PM to 11:45 PM. The boat ride is 20 minutes. Please be aware that the boats only seat 40 guests so long lines are common. Plan to leave early just in case you miss the first boat. In addition, some folks have reported that the boat is back from the Marketplace to the Westside, but you might want to make sure. The POR/POFQ boat will take you to the Marketplace and then you will have to get to the Cirque.

As with Disney buses, I have never been asked for identification when boarding a Disney boat.

While the boats quit running before midnight, the buses to all resorts run much later, so you needn't worry about missing the last boat to get back!

I have seen people asked to show resort IDs when using the boats, but staying at any WDW resort entitles you to use the transportation. Just make sure someone has their room key with and you'll be fine. (plus, you'll be able to get back into your room when you return! )
