Boathouse Dueling Pianos

Is there any special instructions or anything to being seating near where they play the pianos for a Friday or Saturday evening? Is there a suggested time to make the reservation? I understand they start playing around 8-8:30 so was thinking 7:45 for dinner and get there early to request near the pianos. Am I missing anything?

If you make the reservation via Open Table, I believe there is a "box" where you can write in any special requests.

jumping in on this - bog Jellyrolls fan and had no icea there were duelling pianos at the Boathouse! Can you just have a seat at the bar for this? And guessing unlike Jellyrolls kids can come in for this?

I know they have a piano player in the first room. When did they start with dueling pianos? There are only a few tables in the piano room so you may be able to request a table but I bet you will have a huge wait. The Boathouse is scary popular and waits on a regular night can be well over a half hour past your ressie time.
