Boat To Ourselves On 03/06/03 Wonder?

Just wondering who is sailing on the Wonder 03-06-03? I have not seen many people referring to this date - surely this is a busy time to go with Spring Breaks?!?! or perhaps will be have the boat all to ourselves? - ha!

I was begining to think that no one else was going on this cruise either. This will be our first cruise ever. Me (31 year old female) and my husband's mother (early 50's) and my little daughter (3 years old). We are so excited. I check the disboards almost everyday to get new info. I just came across your post today. I don't know how I missed it. Let me know if you want to chat!!

You are not alone! My husband and I (late 30's) along with my two DS's, ages 9 and 4 will be onboard too! This is our second cruise on the Wonder, but our first visit to the parks. We hope it is sunny and warm!

When was your last cruise? You must have liked it, since you are returning! I'm dreaming of warm weather too. It has been close to zero degrees her the last week. It is hard to shop for bathing suits and sandals in this weather (we live in Southern Illinois, but are flying out of Nashville TN - about 3 hours from us)Where are y'all from?

One of the local radio stations in our area will be broadcasting live from the ship on that date. I expected that it would be pretty full since they were supposedly offering a good deal.

We are glad to find some fellow "cruisers"!! This is our second 3 day on the Wonder. We went on our first cruise in March of 1999. The warm Bahamian (is that a word?!) weather will be welcomed by all of us frigid Nebraskans. We are sailing with our family (DH and I both '30 something', 2 DS ages 13, 10-he will be celebrating his 11th on board the Wonder, and our DD age 7) We all have great memories from the last cruise and are hoping the second will be as fun. The post from Kamlem says something about a radio broadcast from the boat and good deals- I didn't get a great deal, I mean it wasnt a bad deal, but not a great deal either. Did you guys get in on some great deals? Never-the-less, the cruise is worth every penny. Maybe we can chat on Friday nite during Cruise Chat! I also check the disboard daily - they are great! Gets a guy chompin at the bit to go!!!

I was also wondering about Kamlem's post about the radio station broadcasting from the ship. Is that a local Florida radio station? What kind of deals were they having? I didn't get a super low rate, but since I booked (about a month ago) the prices have gone up quite a bit. I did notice that the rest of March the prices really go up (Spring Break I guess).

To clarify my post, by local I meant local to me. The radio station is in Providence, Rhode Island. I think the deals were for people who went through the travel agency that they were promoting. I don't have any information on how good the deals were, though. We already have Disney World booked for March of this year and the Magic for March of next year so it wasn't feasible for us. Of course that's what my sensible husband said-I would have done it!

Did you see the post for the March 2nd cruise? There are almost 100 posts! There doesn't seem to be anyone else on our cruise. Do you think most school age kids are still in school? I only have a pre-schooler, so that isn't an issue for us. Can you believe we only have about 3 weeks left?

It looks like the weather has been pretty warm lately in The Bahamas from the posts of people just returning from the ship! Maybe it will be even warmer in 3 weeks!!!

Have you got your documents yet? We got ours a couple of weeks ago. Quite a thrill!

I'm also going, along with my "Spring Break from College" daughter. Hubby and I were on the 12/12 Wonder, loved it enough to book next Dec. as well, and the whole family will be going Dec. 2004. Can't wait to get warm and lose the snow!!

WE'RE going too!!! We are a family of three. My husband Jack who is 51, my son Jake who is almost 10 and myself who is 39. This was a last minute trip for us... got a good deal and had some free air we couldn't pass on. Celebrating my 40th birthday which will be in late March. We are dvc members and have been to Disney World about 40-45 times, but this is our first Disney Cruise. We sailed on Celebrity in January and got hooked on cruising. I came back from that cruise and booked a Disney for October and a Royal Carribbean for next January.
We're arriving the night before - anyone elso coming in then?
Would love to join fellow cruisers for a chat anytime.
