I have never stayed at the Fort, but doing so for the first time in Nov. Wondering if it's easier with a double stroller and two toddlers in tow, to take the boat to the contemporary, then get the monorail to Epcot or bus to other parks.....Didn't realize that we would have to take an internal bus to the park buses. Hassle with the stroller. Can you drive your car and park to the place where you catch those park buses?

Even to get to your camp spot or cabin to the marina you'll have to take an internal bus. If you have the luxury of your car and are worried about the strollers just drive to the parks and park there. You will receive complementary parking at the parks with your resort reservation. Buses and boats from the fort will require you to fold up your stroller.

Boat to Wilderness Lodge or Contemporary is typically one that requires stroller folding- smaller boat that must be stepped down into. The boat straight to Magic Kingdom does not require folding, however, a double stroller may be difficult to maneuver through the door.
Once at MK, monorail to Transportation & Ticket Center does not require folding, then change to monorail to Epcot.
The buses require stroller folding. You can walk the Fort- I realized how doable this was on the last trip. With kids in the stroller, I just walked back to our site rather than pack it all up to get on the bus. Often we beat the buses back anyway. You can Google a map of the Fort to determine walking distances.

There is no parking where you catch the buses, you must take an internal bus.

On our last visit we had a double stroller and an electric scooter to deal with. Heres what we did:

we were fortunate enough to get our request of 400 loop so we were a close walk to the marina. When taking the larger boat to magic kingdom, my double stroller fit through the door and we did not have to fold it. When taking the boat to the contemporary for chef mickeys and our early adr at MK, we had to fold the stroller up and didn't even try to take the scooter. there is no place to park a car at the marina so internal bus is your only option if you aren't a close walk, but the boat ride is very fun, especially for the kids.

When going to epcot and Hollywood studios, we drove our car up to the overflow parking and parked there, then walked through the lot to the bus stop. wasn't a bad walk at all.

when going to animal kingdom we just drove to the park. That was our last day and after how nice it was to get back in the car from the park gate and drive straight back to our camper, I would have driven to epcot and Hollywood studios if I had it to do over again.

My advice to you is internal bus/walk to marina then boat to MK. For all other parks just drive your car straight to the park, we are not at all familiar with Orlando but used mapquest on my smartphone and the plentiful road signs and had no problems finding our way around from the fort. that's my 2 cents!

You can park where the buses pickup at the front of Fort Wilderness. You just park in an overflow spot, but you will need to walk a little piece (very short) to the bus pickup area. We actually found this to be quicker rather than waiting on internal bus to pick us up and take us to the bus pickup.

Yes I was thinking more the marina.

My bad! I was thinking more on using the buses since they would be quicker getting to the other parks.

Chartle is correct in regards to parking at the marina.
