Boat Rental $$

I've been looking around but I can't seem to find out info about the prices of renting a boat at a Disney resort? (especially at the Poly where I will be staying)

Does anyone know this info, or know where I could find it?

I'm not an expert but this is what I know. There are water mice that are for 2 people and they run around $18 per half hour (don't quote me!) and then there's the bigger boat with a canopy that can fit a few people, I think 10. I think it's about $50 for an hour, not sure but it was reasonable. There was a DVC discount.

Now, I've been reading that there is a Captain's Plan where you can prepay for 4 hours that can be used at any time (not consecutively) for up to 4 people. I believe it's $120 and available at all resorts.

I've tried the Disney website and had no luck getting the exact scoop on prices and info on the Captain's Plan but did a serach here.

If you want info on renting the water mice(the little motor boats for 2 people), we rented them the last 2 years in a row and the rates were $20 for a half hour, or $30 for an hour. We did get 10% off with a disney club card as well. On Debs site, www.wdwig.com, under the discounts page, http://www.wdwig.com/discounts.htm it does not list the DC as getting a discount anymore, but does list 10% off with AMEX or 15% off with an annual pass. Its listed under water sports about 2/3 of the way down. hope this helps.

If you use your AmEX card to pay for the boat rental you get a better discount than with the DC. I think it was 20%.

We always rent boats on our WDW trips and did so this last trip in May. We rented from the YC marina. There was no discount with your DC card. The only discount available was for AMEX. We rented a water mouse for a half hour for $22.00, that includes tax. We also rented a canopy boat for 30min. and that was $25.00, not including tax. I do think that on our last trip in Nov. at the GF the prices were alittle more, but don't quote me on that! Hope this helps.
