boat MGM-Boardwalk

i'm staying at the POP & using the bus system. i'd like to go to the Boardwalk & believe that i can take the bus to MGM then take the boat to the Boardwalk & take the same route back. my mom thinks that when she came out of Fantasmic that she saw the boat inside of MGM, not outside. is that right? i don't want to use a park admission ticket that night. thanks.

The boat is outside of MGM no ticket required.

You can either walk or take the boat. Walking may be quicker depending on the time and line for the boat.

If you take the boat, get off at the 1st stop at the Swan/Dolphin, then walk over the bridge to the BW.

The boat dock is outside MGM, so no problem there. It is also possible to walk from the entrance of MGM to the BW in about 15 minutes at a leisurely pace. Be sure to check on park closing time if you're going to the BW late in the day, since this determines when the last buses will be leaving MGM for the resorts. The bus driver should announce when the last buses depart from MGM and the boat captain will indicate the timeframe for the last boats from the BW back to MGM. If they don't make these announcements, just ask them.
