boat from hollywood studios to epcot?

Hi all

In Oct. we will be visiting Disney for the 2nd time...We have heard that you can get a boat from Hollywood studios to epcot? If this is true can someone tell us where to catch it at in hollywood studios? And also how much is it for 2 adults and 2 children?

And also does anyone have any pictures from the boat so I can show the kids?

Sorry no pictures. The boat is free it's disney transportation. When you exit the studios go to the left you will see the boat dock.

Also,how long does it take for the boat ride from Hollywood Studios to Epcot? And is it a BIG boat or a small boat?Sorry to ask so many questions but I'm trying to prepare the kids who are a little worried about the boat ride.

It's a larger sized boat - called a Friendship boat. I don't have a picture but it is the same as the ones used in the World Showcase of Epcot. You can find a picture at this site (have to scroll down) http://www.wdwinfo.com/Transportation/water.htm

This boat will stop at the various resorts (Dolphin, Boardwalk, Y/B Clubs), don't know the order, before arriving outside the Epcot International Gateway. This Gateway is between France and England in the World Showcase. You will need to do a bag check and then through the turnstyles with your ticket.

The ride from the Studios to the Epcot International Gateway can take about 25-35 minutes. The hold up is usually at the Swan/Dolphin as this only has one dock. The other resorts have two sides for the boats to dock.

It is a nice leisurely ride, BUT I do not recommend trying it when the Studios is closing as there will be long lines at that time.

You can also walk between the two parks. It always takes less time than the boat. However, if you have small children the boat is the better option as it is a long walk.

If you don't want to spend all that time on the boat stopping at the other resorts, there is also a direct bus from Hollywood Studios - Epcot, which takes about 10 minutes.
