Staying @ the Boardwalk for the first time this Nov. Its Myself, DH, Mother-in-law, DD(4YRS) & DS( will be 12mnths) in a one bedroom villa. Looking for comments on the room ( size, clean, decor, etc.), and the actual hotel itself. Looks like a nice family place with lots to do. What about the pool w/ the clown slide is this enclosed or open, not sure if DD would do it being so young if it was totally enclosed?
Thanks! :thumbsup2

Part of the slide is enclosed and another part of it towards the end is open.

Besides that when it comes to the resort itself every night from 6:30 PM - 10:00 PM there is various entertainers that perfrom along the Boardwalk, it's great having the walkways or Boats that go to Epcot and Hollywood Studios and they have some great restaurant options.

You will love the BWVs. They were refurbed a few years ago so they should still be in really great shape. We have never had any trouble with anything with our stays there. The one bedroom is a really good size (we usually have a two bedroom but half of that is actually what you will have). The washer/dryer in the room is great so you don't have to pack as much. They provide a box of laundry detergent and we just put it in a drawer if we didn't use it so they would leave another so we had enough to do a couple of loads at one. We usually just throw a load in a bedtime and then throw it in the dryer in the morning. The bathroom will work out really well for you since it is actually two rooms. There is one section off the bedroom that has a full vanity and the jacuzzi tub plus large closet for storing things and the safe is in there. The other part is a separate room with a walk-in shower, toilet and sink. Having the full kitchen is great for quick breakfasts, and keeping snacks and drinks. You will love it.

We stayed here last year with my two boys age 3 and 4 at the time. We had a 2 bedroom and loved it. The AC was broken when we first walked in, but they sent up someone right away to fix it. We also had another problem with the room which was also rectified immediately. They sent up a complimentary solid mickey shaped chocolate and chocolate strawberries the next day for our inconvenience. Our stay was wonderful and we enjoyed the villa very much. The boys liked the clown pool but did not use the slide as his swimming skills and confidence in the water wasn't up to par at the time (this year we stayed at BCV and he loved SAB and the slide! What a difference a year makes) The location of BWV can't be beat. We loved walking to DHS and Epcot every time. The less time on the bus the better. The boys loved the juggler who came out in the evenings and we watched the fireworks every night from our balcony (we had a view of the main entrance, not the boardwalk), and had a great view of illuminations. We love the epcot area and fell in love with BCV, but I wouldnt hesitate to stay at BWV gain. Enjoy!

You will love it. Great pool and boardwalk area is amazing. Having dinner each night in the World Showcase is a blast for my family. Easy walk or boat ride. I love the boardwalk entertainment and the atmosphere. My kids love the various events they have along the boardwalk. It is like being on the East Coast beaches.

The slide is pretty much all open. The only part that is enclosed is the few feet when you shoot through the clown's mouth. I hate enclosed slides, the clown is my favorite slide on Disney property.
